At 1:04 you can see the arc flashes. That old wiring is a good example of how not to do it.

I love your videos namely, because of the mistakes and errors that everyone in HVAC has done in the field. Moreover, the #1 reason I love HVAC guy videos is because he never cuts out the mistakes. Again, I just love your realism and humility. Lastly, I've done the same thing and toasted a 24 vac contactor in a 240 vac circuit. ! Keep up the great work and rock on Curtis .😊

A great example of less is more. Less wires the more better to chase them, better looking and less wires to cram in a small area. Keeps the connections better.

No, it didn't. You can see someone added a hard start cap and didn't trim the wires when they replaced the condenser fan.

I’ve seen you take many of panel doors off but I have never seen so many wires, what’s up with that? I’ve been to friends houses with dogs that do the same thing thinking they want to attack me but just ended up just wanting to meet me. Wow seeing all of those wires now I got a craving for spaghetti and meatballs, go figure 😅

What kind of camera do you use. So many you-tube guys insist on using one hand to hold camera and then one hand to use for working. Love the results of yours.

It's really about having the right mount for the camera and what you're trying to capture. An auto tech or HVAC tech trying to show you details of a repair may need many different angles, but they don't have all day to set up the shots. So a hand-held camera does the job. Even Curtis has done hand-held shots in tight areas like showing rubouts on the copper lines near the compressor. In this case, once he started the repair at 2:30 he was able to sit his GoPro on top of the disconnect which was positioned perfectly for the shot and get to work with both hands. Sometimes it's just being lucky.

@HVACGUY Hey Curtis what editing program are you using and are you editing from computer or phone I just got the 12 Black creators system and tried using QUIK and they require a subscription fee to use it for the cost you would think they would provide atleast 30days of free editing but NO!!!

@@dmiestercommkitchentech3043 Try VSDC, I used it for my channel. They have a Free and a Pro version. The free version does a lot ! I chose to pay the Subscription for the Pro version, to support them, and it was only $20 a year. Unless you're working with green screens, blue screens and removing backgrounds etc and doing some really fancy stuff, you don't need the pro version. They also update "with new features" monthly. And more importantly, the learning curve is a fraction of the others.

Thankfully the manufacturer hasn’t established any best practices for wiring harnesses or what would we have to do all day?😂 seriously how could a simple heat pump need that many wires? Heat and vibration those wires are bound to short out again real soon.
