Awesome. Now you made a fireplace. Next you make some kind of shelter. And you end up having a knife review base for chopping, feathering, batoning etc.

As a child I was very fortunate to learn the servival teachings of my dad's friend who was a Comanche indian the true servival masters he taught me how to make a fire different ways he taught me how to make clothes from animal hides he taught me how to make weopans from wood, stone, obsidian, bone, arrowheads turn into knives, arrows, spears, bows different war clubs he taught me how to make tools from bones and antlers of the animals I hunt he also taught me how to read signs on tracking man and animals and how to watch and listen for danger in the woods I was brought up like the guy Tristan in the film legends of the falls it's been a hard but great life I also learned how to ride horses from him to I didn't know till later as I grew into a man that the Comanche was the horseman of the plains so you can say I've been taught by the best or the best I'm ever going to get People should know how to servive in the wilderness life is only a journey from one life to the next enjoy life folks good video brother Hey brother I learned a trick from my dad's friend how to sleep in the open of course have trees to help block the wind dig a hole in the ground and make a little fire and let the fire burn into Coles and put a hide over the hole and stake four corners of the hide in the ground and lay blankets on top of the hide and you will stay warm and put a hide over your body so you are worm from top to bottom but be careful Coles have been known to turn into fire just be careful believe it or not it works just a little tip from a brother of the woods Hey brother there is a knife I plan on buying but I'm not sure about the knife it's a Hudson bay beavertail dagger knife a American Indian trade knife I was wondering well I know it's a lot to ask but I was wondering if someday you might consider making a video of this knife it is some what related in the time period of the knife in this video just wondering brother and thanks for the replies on the videos I appreciate it brother

I found some camo tape (type used to wrap hockey stick handle) on Amazon that I used on Hudson Bay handle. It looks cool and it's grippy. It almost has a stickiness (tacky) to it as well. It transformed the knife for me. Now I use it for every knife that I have slick-grip issues with.

@@DonnieBAllDay Not sure why, but some knife makers don't seem to care about designing a quality handle. It's almost an afterthought...focus entirely on the blade and just slap handles on afterwards. It's what keeps me from buying a BK18. Every reviewer throws Micarta handles on after purchase. I don't want to have to upgrade immediately. BTW I bought Tops Eagles Shadow instead of BK18. If you get your hands on one, you may want to review it or even compare to BK18. The micarta handles are perfect and it also has the harpoon blade. Just a thought. Thanks again for your reviews.

Oh man, I'm a poor amateur on knives ... However - I've just ordered the Condor Hudson Bay based on some reviews I read from which I understood that this knife will basically cover all the basis ... Apparently it doesnt't So, I ended buying Condor Atrox (which is absolutely great !!!) , Cold Steel 1917 Frontier Bowie (which ,I have to confess - is still in its box due to the previous knife [Atrox] I've mentioned -am I crazy or not ?! :D ) , oh yes, also Cold Steel Marauder serrated (yey !? - although it seems ok doesn't seems to have the chopping / slicing power nowhere near on the "big boys" - is more of a tactical knife than a real warrior) Ok, long story short : go figure , with some blade sharpening, it looks like (in my profane opinion) the Hudson Bay actually chops really close to ...Atrox ! Wow !!! A blade that's almost 2 /3 length of Atrox ! I figured that being however a thick blade will explain that ... Yeah, the handle is ... Mehhh ... But with some extra tennis rocket grip might do the job after all ... Looking closely I figured that its tip is somewhat close to (hope that nobody will blame me) a ... Tanto point ...which might actually make this a pretty good for thrusting .. Am I right or just dreaming ?! 😊
@DonnieBAllDay
@DonnieBAllDay 3 жыл бұрын
The reason they chop pretty equally is because the narrow tip in the atrex matches the weight in the thicker Valley of the moonshiner

@lucianbrad4291 3 жыл бұрын
Hi DBad, would be the Condor Moonshiner an "upgraded" Hudson Bay ? (Handle wise, blade length and so on ) Or even much more better ? The steel is basically the same - could that hammered finish on the Hudson Bay make a difference - strength / hardness wise ?
