Awesome video and really great insight for the CCNA folks who haven't got the hands-on exposure yet! Just a bit of a correction, access ports can actually carry an additional VLAN with switchport access voice . This is used in the instance you might have a VOIP phone and a end device connected to the same access port. This is done for security and QoS reasons.

Thank you! oh yeah sometimes I'll miss things like that. Thanks for the correction. yes that's a special case where access ports can carry another VLAN

I'm going to be taking my CCNA test soon . So for me it's interesting to see a day in the life of an IT worker. One of my favorite things to do is set up OSPF .
@EastCharmer7 ай бұрын
Oh wow goodluck to you and I hope you pass your CCNA!! Yeah I think it's nice to show people the real world application to give them more idea. I haven't touched layer 3 for a while now so I'm pretty rusty with the routing protocols

Hey there! Kindly when you make this kind of videos, explain where you can use TRUKNED PORTS and layer-ing in switches. It is important for people to know the difference between managed switches (which you are using) and unmananged switches. Thank you for the vids!
@EastCharmer8 ай бұрын
Hello there! Oh you're right I forgot to mention managed and unmanaged switches. I record on the go so sometimes I would forget elements especially when I film a day in a life videos. I'll do better next time! Thanks for the feedback!

Only devices from the SAME subnet (same vlan) can communicate via the trunk port between the 2 switches. Vlan 10 cannot communicate with Vlan 20 regardless if they are on the same switch or separate switch. You will need a L3 switch or router for inter-vlan communication. L2 Switches do not route -- this is often overlooked in IT lessons.

Could you create a documentary video regaring of your professional journey in the field of Information Technology, along with offering guidance to our colleagues in the Philippines who aspire to pursue employment opportunities overseas? It is my hope that you can utilize this content in the Tagalog version as a source of inspiration and additional guidance for other professionals in the IT industry in the Philippines.
@EastCharmer6 ай бұрын
Yes I can make a video like that. Tho I can't make a Tagalog version because most of the viewers are from different countries and not a lot are Filipinos. But I can make a video on the tips I can give and some advice

So from what it sounds like you really are a network admin at this point, even if that's not your title. Maybe that's not your title so they can have an excuse to pay you less? Anyway, it's good to know that your CCNA knowledge didn't go to waste even though it's after the cert already expired.
@EastCharmer8 ай бұрын
hhhmmm well tbh my current position's description is very broad. I'm all around IT and work with Network, Systems, IT Projects and everything computer related. But I don't do Networking on a daily basis, only when there's a project or an issue. It's kinda crazy and yeah you're right I can probably be a Network Admin and I do wanna specialize in the future. And actually they are paying me good becuase I'm with a bigger comnpany. It's just their IT does everything here. Thank you! Yes I'm still trying to use my CCNA knowledge as much as I can even if it's limited to layer 2 for now. I'm thinking of still doing networking when I move up to my career maybe network automation or something.

holy fuck look at those buildings. Damn. That gives me weird shivers up my spine. Wow. Do people really like cities like that? There is no privacy or nothing. I would be going around closing all the windows so people couldn't see in. And that would be a full time job. If buildings and corporate asses is all tech really is then f this stuff, screw y'all, I'm going home.
