This video teaches you how to succeed at conflict resolution by using Chris Voss's "accusation audit" technique.

Imagine you have a long-standing conflict with a friend, family-member or co-worker.
This person seems extremely angry at you, and you're pretty sure they have a long list of complaints and accusations to make against you.
Just the idea of having to face them keeps you up at night.
What if I told you there was a technique you could use that allowed you to take all of the stored-up negatives and use them to your advantage in a way that defused most of the explosive potential of the interaction?
There is.
In this video, I describe a technique called the "accusation audit."
I learned it from Chris Voss's great book about negotiation, "Never Split the Difference."
It combines several different techniques I've already discussed. It's part active, empathic listening, and it's partly from the difficult conversations checklist.
After watching this video, you will be able to:
-- Do an accusation audit prior to a confrontation.
-- Know how to take each accusation and use it to build connection and rapport.
-- Defuse the greatest source of potential conflict and anxiety in a difficult conversation.

It's amazing. Chris Voss also has a course on MasterClass, he've taught us how to practice accusations audit in many cases. Combining Mirroring, Labeling and Accusation audit.

Great video. I'm surprised you don't have more views. I'd love to hear an example of when you've used an accusation audit personally.

I use the Voss metod in my work which is in psychiatric care ... works great in both building rapport and with aggressiveness. . Amazing 👍.

I can never watch Chris Voss, because he doesn't make his points clear. 😂 Your video is much clearer. 👍🏻

Used literally Voss's techniques. I just got to the point of thinking to really acknowledge what people think. When there are social issues that can resolve violence, I then not resort to judge on appearance. I think we can grow when ideas are exchanged. People think other things. And ideas are harmless unless you use them for destruction. That is what can be avoided when we collectively share our thoughts. We grow. I also forgot a bit of accusations audit. It is not only acknowledging different ideas and accepting discomfort. It is about emotions, too.

Interesting, is there a second part to this? After you mention "it seems like", it naturally feels as though you would follow-up with a "but" or defensive statement. Can you please elaborate?

Is there more videos that you speak on empathy using statements like, "it seems like" or "it sounds like" ? If so, may you provide the names or links

What do we do if someone interrupts this strategy? It typically works for me, but I've encountered a couple of, "Okay I get it, what's your point?" How do you deal with that???
