Great content! I really like where Brian is coming from. He’s helping me get to where he is and Mike is helping me dream bigger. You both have excellent content. Where I saw Paul Jamison’s interview with Brian breaking down and getting real with the struggles of trying to create your dreams, he had me. This gentleman is real and he absolutely cares.

Simple way to figure out what to charge to mow. Just figure out how long you think it will take to mow, edge, blow. You want to be able to service the property in less time then you are charging. So if you are charging $35, you want to be done in about 10-20 minutes.

Half acre $50 full acre $100 of it's .60 of an acre that's $60. If it's under half that's where it comes in handy to have a minimum. If you have a .11 acre yard I charge minimum of $35 because I don't want to be to high or to low. Eventually I'm going to raise my minimum. Hope that helps. This is my first year to!

I've got to agree with what Fitz said. You're pricing has to come down to the time spent. You've got to track those man hours. You've got to have a dollar amount that you're shooting for for your services. We cut grass in the summer and plow snow in the winter. I have two dollar amounts that we target for grass and snow. The second is a lot higher. I also have a dollar amount for each service that takes into account the time we spend between jobs. Don't forget to also track time spent doing maintenance, cleaning equipment, etc. All of this information will become very powerful to you and you'll appreciate having started it sooner down the road. When I first started I didn't always get it right. It made for a couple of tough conversations. Now is a great time to have some of those tougher conversations with inflation happening across the board. Just remember that what you really are looking for is to get into situations where everyone is happy. If you are priced too low your customers are happy but you're not. Soon they won't be either when you go out of business because your business wasn't sustainable and they have to go find another more expensive servicer because they had an unrealistic previous experience. If you are priced too high you'll spend a lot of wasted time on estimates that don't result in new business. Nobody is happy in that scenario. If you are priced higher than the competition you've got to be able to justify it with something that sets you apart and adds value but that is also something they're willing to spend more on. Just remember what you're really giving customers is more than a nicely mowed lawn. You're giving them their time back to go spend as they'd like. They're buying like I said before, time. So in order for you to succeed focus on that time. Invest in professional equipment that will allow you to do a great job in an efficient manner. Having that equipment go out there and focus on obtaining jobs that will allow you to be efficient. Don't take jobs that have a million hills, nooks, and other obstacles that don't allow you to use that 60" zero turn you invested in efficiently. Leave those properties to the neighbor kid that will push mow it. Don't push mow it yourself either (at any price) because it will just slow you down, tire you out, and throw you off your day of efficiency. The other big way to be efficient, route density. Remember how I mentioned you've got to track that time between jobs too? So to sum up this book I've just written here in this KZfaq comment. Price you time. Track your time. Win/Win scenarios. Be efficient. Some day I'm going to start my own KZfaq channel. I've got a lot of good stuff to share in this lawn care arena. I certainly hope I've helped you to better understand how to best move your business forward. Good luck.

I've known Brian for 3 - 4 years now. Hes crushed the lawncare community by storm! Amazing seeing him grow up. I've worked both sides of lawncare and landscaping. With the interest of people interested in the industry, comes the bad side of it. ie: finding workers who don't mind being on camera, and finding ones that won't show boat and focus solely on the camera instead of their job and safety. I'd drop everything to work for Brian. I don't care for being on camera anymore, but I don't mind sharing my knowledge in the industry. Brian's carrying the torch. And very well deserved. He's overcame the lawncare community drama, overcame the haters of those that came from the drama channel. He's done so much in so little time. That drama guy is now shunned. Not even welcomed by anyone at GIE. Brian is more of a role model than he thinks. He's influenced and a rock to so many starting out. He exposes the "secrets", and lays down how it is with no bs. Definitely an industry that is labor intensive and expensive. I bid everyone good luck if you're starting out!

I haven't watched Brian in a while. He's come a LONG way from his meager beginnings. My hat's off to him. KZfaq is an AWESOME platform that has helped to lift and inspire many people into becoming a motivated successful person. I believe that having people watching you and wanting to appear competent makes Tubers up their personal games. I see plenty of people doing things wrong in the green industry. But if their customer doesn't care...I don't. I don't understand all the haters of any Tuber. I never understood people that want to criticize/hate (venomously) anyone for their sucess. I don't understand jealousy. I'm delighted to see people do well and build a fruitful life.

I love watching Brian because my business is only a couple years older and I've seen him champion the same problems I've went through and come out a stronger man and a stronger business. People"call him out" because they are too lazy, dumb or unprofessional to go where he has. As far as lawntreprenaur academy he might as well be giving it away. The time he puts into getting all the info , people and knowledge base together is worth thousands not hundreds.

I mean, if you can read between the lines and pick up what Brian puts down, he's pretty transparent. He's been transparent about what he new mins have been for this season (i believe he said he's up to starting around $42). He's been pretty transparent on the fact that he can mow 30 yards a day due to his route density. And no, revealing your pricing wont let competition steal his clients. There is so much work to go around, that that bad business practice of poaching the next guys client is a dying breed. With all the available work, and the cost of everything higher than ever, the guy who guys around undercutting just to have more clients is going to bury their business in the next year or so.

Another great video, I love the stuff Brian posts, he always comes across as very genuine. To grow a proper channel it needs to bring money in, I take a lot of time from the time I should be 'working' to make videos. A lot of my videos are full-on productions that take 16 hours or more to make. Week in week out. The only way that can happen is if the channel is funding itself and making it worth my while. Sponsorship is the only real way to make it all work unless you are selling products alongside the channel, a bit like Brian I run a lawn care business that has been going for 10 years and has staff etc alongside my channel. The grind is real!!!

To successfully destroy America and Western culture around the world. you need to destroy the economy. Control their health with the "food" and "medical" industries. Put small businesses out of business...to protect their health. Destroy independent truckers, small farmers, etc. Get Bill Gates to buy up all the farm land and make fuel scarce and unaffordable...then...turn off their electricity. A very successful operation

@@BriansLawnMaintenance There is an illusion because of the gross revenue. that keeps you going There's also in illusion over what's profit when you're self employed. To make a $800 truck payment out of wages, you'll need to gross $1050 before taxes. For a business truck payment you just need to find the $800. Same to fuel, tools, work cloths, insurance, etc. A woman I know once said that she made $100k in salary. She took home about $55k in her paychecks.
