My dad died yesterday because of congested heart failure. Life will never be the same without him, I just wish something could have been done. Rest in peace dad, forever in my heart.

So, so sorry. My mom died from the same thing 20 years ago, and now I think I have it. It appears that it can be heridaryl, so I'm trying to find ways to naturally correct this problem. I would recommend that you do the same for you. God Bless. I'm researching this and it looks like life-style changes are the only hope to extending life for people with CHF. Change diet, especially cutting down on salt, fat, sugar because it causes the body to retain weight and fluid, which puts stress on the heart to work harder. Also learned that caffiene makes the hart work harder, so gonna cut out my daily cup of coffee. More exercise, which causes body to eliminate excess fluid. I used to walk 20 mins a day 3 to 4 times a week, and was always healthy. Gonna start doing this again. Good luck with your situation. I miss my mom every day, she was my best friend. But, I believe I will see her again in Heaven as she was a Believer. I have a paralyzed son from a surfing accident whom I take care of and I'm the only one he has left to take care of, as his dad died in 2010, so I gotta take this more seriously for him and me for sure, which is a huge motivating factor.

@@loriboyters4171 well its a combination of nature vs nurture...My father use to been a chain smoker.. And a drinker...He quit all of the above in his mid to late 30s... However, drinking/smoking causes heavy damage to the heart tissues..Furthermore, diet is a key to a healing heart like eating oatmeal instead of bacon or red meats...stay away from red meats if you have a bad heart...

I've had congestive heart failure for 12 years, My medication consists of Wild Turkey, Tramadol and pot, Life with CHF is on my terms!!🍺

What about being overprescribed certain medications for too long? Or heart damage from being pulled off one of these drugs too quickly? Can this cause heart failure?

I thought having this disease was as a result of my old age, while I was diagnosed of heart disease Dec. 19 2020, I used series of medication but I was still having the severe pain, until I used an herbal mixture from Dr. Gbenga which I saw on KZfaq and I was completely cured, I appreciate Dr. Gbenga for his help
