The 5-year-old boys came to Dayton Children’s from Guatemala in July 2021 joined at the top of the head with a 90 degree turn, classified as craniopagus O’Connell class III.

I absolutely admire all the study phases & dividing up the entire operation into stages instead of the entire surgery. The assessing along the way & extra plans surely averted disaster. I also admire the teamwork of the entire staff was instrumental in the success. That is by far the most difficult surgery I've ever seen! God bless all of you doctors for taking this on. The support of Dayton Children's' Hospital & their staff was phenomenal. Thank you for all that you have done & continue to do for all children!💙
