Your small developer gameplay clips like these remind me so much of the clips that Notch used to release so long ago back in the olden days, clips like him placing blocks and building, or testing rain and snow, or testing interactions between redstone, repeaters, noteblocks, redstone torches, ect. I really hope you make more videos like this. :)

Big Caves. Water. This update is truly the best.

This looks like it will improve cave exploration alot, as many of the caves I've been through were either filled with water with no access to open caves or open with no access to water caves

Important Suggestion: Current water caves are so empty, seagrass and (maybe) another sea plant fit perfect with this systems.

I haven't tried swimming through the water caves yet, I don't think I'd be able to make it through most tunnels without running out of air

I love it. And I think we need local water levels on the surface too! We need caves/cave entrances behind waterfalls!

Making a conduit in the big water caves is gonna be amazing!

I love exploring around and finding places like this. In the early 1.17 snapshots before the world height changes were reversed, I found a huge cave system like this and it was the first time I ever felt rewarded for exploring the water caves! That is such an epic area, it makes me want to put out conduits everywhere and make this my base!

Absolutely beautiful, but also terrifying. Mining in water caves always has been something I don't want to do, so I just skip upon those places... because I'm afraid to die in them. I hope these systems don't become too frequent!

i dived into lots of these water caves since 21w08a, and i cant stop amazed by its structure! Everytime there is a surprise area the water cave lead me into, but i havent tried boat yet

Water Breathing potions will be extra useful now! The extra ores and the ability to find more caves is going to add some much needed underground exploration to Minecraft.

As a player I need a new potion that is not as bright as night-vision So that I can enjoy exploring in dark places and also enjoy the natural tones of that dark place. Acceptance Criteria 1. Add a new potion using glow berries as an ingredient that produces a +3 effect to lighting levels.

I love this. So amazing. The only problem is to breath underwater. Potions are not that easy to find and make. I mean if I spwan near a aquafire and I want to explore it I need first to make a brething potion that can take days to do and find. But besides that is amazing

One thing I struggled with in the last snapshot was since boats don't go up even one block of water flows going into aquifers wasn't as good an Idea as normal caves bc it was so hard to get out. Ik u can swim but being able to boat up small waterfalls would be a useful feature while exploring caves.

Looks awesome - I recommend though not to use creative for showcases since it misleads big times on how the game is mostly played (survival). The same goes for cave showcases: ideally it would be without spectator and without night vision and water breathing as that would be the way most people are likely to come in contact with the new content. Anyways, thanks for showing this. It looks awesome!

Breathing.exe has stopped working

This looks very cool but I can see a problem for survival players: the air. As other comments suggested it's unlikely that the water caves can be explored in the early game due to running out of air. Maybe there should be some blocks like magma block / soul sand that permit a bit of air restoration
