The sound is the result of having a lack of a stabilizer. What you require is an HDMI cord that has the yellow plug, red plug, white plug, blue plug, green plug. My PlayStation 2 use to buzz and make static sounds. At first I thought it was the console. I researched into the situation and discovered the HDMI cord. I purchased one of the last ones that my local Gamestop had. The HDMI cord sharpens your picture and the sound quality is excellent.

When audio and video signals are processed they do gain signal interference. As you keep having the same signal processed it gains signal interference from the first xbox which then carries onto the next xbox which then adds even more signal interference which increases the interference sound you hear and it will become more and more until the audio it just white noise.
