ln this video I'll show you how to connect NeoPixel LEDs to micro:bit and a LiPo battery to complete our simple animated LED circuit. I'll show you how to connect the components properly and offer ideas for attaching the LED strip to a bike helmet or other accessory. Then, I'll go over some other micro:bit connection types to consider when you are designing your own project.

If the battery JST connector is wired backwards for your needs it should be pretty simple to pop the crimps out of the connector housing with a narrow pointed implement and push them back in the positions you want. Just be careful not to short the crimps when they are both free of the housing.

Interesting. I've always just re-soldered a new connector. Is there a trick to getting the crimps out without breaking the connector?

@@TechnoChic They've just got a springy protrusion that catches on the housing. Push down firmly on that spring and pull lightly on the wire. If you squash the spring too much for it to lock back in the housing, just bend it back up a bit and it should be fine.

@@TechnoChic Usually just use my multimeter probes because they are always at hand, but pointy tweezers should do the job just fine.
