The plaintiff says the defendant is her cousin, and she agreed to attend her 50th birthday party in Barbados. After COVID-19 shut the island down, the event was postponed. She couldn’t attend on the new date, but her cousin won’t return the money she had previously paid, so she’s suing. The defendant says she offered to let people cancel, but her cousin chose not to.

I believe the plaintiff told her verbally she might not be able to go. In October she was confirming she wouldn't be able to go for sure. Either way, it was after the deadline and she was hoping the defendant could find a replacement.

Because we were never given real statistics about this plan - demic I wish we could have real statistics regarding cancelations reschedules, partial/full refunds, and how much that all cost the public and every travel industry.

Airbnb even when the host puts on strict cancellation rules it still allows for cancellation if it’s before 6 months. It sounds like the rest of the party didn’t want to cancel and lose the place so it screwed the plaintiff over.

The first timw she tried to cancel was bc she was worried she wouldnt have passport and plane ticket. Then she agreed to the rescheduling date. Then 3 months later she wanted to cancel after her doctor scheduled surgery. She knew no refund would happen. No one took her spot so she can not get her money back. She should have got insurance. Its not her cousin's responsibility to pay her for her needs/issues was the problem.

I am a little bit curious about that question I guess two things I am. Spot in a number what is the first thing be if she lives in the house isn’t she a resident so they had to take her to get her house and second the mom and her go to a notary, and she have a notarized letter.

In the closing question to the judges where they give the person advice to go get a will drawn up themselves online, in the meantime the person can video their mom expressing her intent to allow that child of her to stay in her house after her death and with witnesses in the video. That might serve and intent evidence in probate if the mother passes before a will or trust is filed with the courts.

ATV. My mom downloaded, printed, filled out, and had notorized a T.O.D.D. document. Title of Deed on Death or something. It basically is a document that I take to a title company or real estate lawyer and file with the county, and transfers the house title is transferred to me. This is outside of probate court, and an aside from her will.
