Car insurance company do not cover after market stereo and rims. I know my car been stolen in the past. You can buy additional coverage for after market upgrades🙁

I just had to have my car in the shop. They don't allow you to drop it off unless you have a repair appointment scheduled because they don't have a lot of space to store cars, and they can't be liable for vandalism or theft. I made sure I removed everything of value before it was dropped off. BTW, what has this case to do with a funeral?

The plaintiff got more than the worth of the items. HE had no proof that those items were in there. I don't think he should have gotten nothing.

Interesting...there was another case where a litigant said he had a PS5 in his car, and he was not awarded anything. I think he had X-mas gifts, and his nephew took his car or something like that. In this case, the litigant received money from his insurance, and the judge awards him for the console and no receipt to show he even had a PS5 to begin with. Wow.

I have a bodyshop and you'd be surprised what people leave in their cars , I've seen ps4s jewelry, money , all left in the vehicle. It makes sense to take out your items but majority of people don't really think twice about it , we usually have to enforce them to take out their stuff lol , I fully believe his ps5 and sound system was in their and the fact that the cat was cut off the car tells me 100% it was stolen .

Well most insurance companies don’t pay out for any customizations on the car. They pay for factory stuff only. When there’s a paint job on the car, stereo system, rims, etc…that’s not on the insurance company to cover for it. So I’ve been told. 🤷🏽‍♀️

The judge was wrong about his sound system. I was an adjuster. If the system was not factory installed with the vehicle it would be considered custom parts and equipments. This is a separate endorsement coverage thar needs to be purchased on the policy. Therefore it is not included on his total loss unless he purchased that coverage.most people don't have this coverage any ways unless you know your car is suited up with custom parts. I assume he didn't, so he should be able to sue for it

Ohhhh so what the defendants are saying is that they staged the theft bc they knew the amount they were going to get is worth more than the car itself??? Hmmmmm I caught when the plaintiff said "I had the valentines day gift in there and that's it (14:27)" Either way... the defendants were negligent to leave the keys in the car... Was there a playstation in there? We will never know but he has been compensated enough from all ends.
