Connor Bedard is simply NOT HUMAN! All of his Highlight Reels from November ( 2023 NHL draft )

Connor Bedard is just HIM. He got a least 2 points in every game during November which put his total points this year at 53 in 23 games for a 17-year-old! In my opinion, there is no debate, he is gonna go first overall in this year's draft.
The Bedard Fantilli race is kinda like the Mcdavid Eichel race back at the 2015 draft: two insane players but 1 generational.

Great hands but he doesn't pass the puck unless there's no other option.. If you watch him play, you see that he'd be even more dominant if he had a better vision.. hope he starts working on that pretty soon.. The best players make their teammates look and play better overall.. But right now, feels like he just wants to prove how much better he is than everybody else.. (We already know you are, time to step up now !) Still love the guy, I just hope he continues to improve

I'll say this though.... when he gets to the NHL, that little dangle he does all the time will not work very often. He'll get laid out. Guys in this league don't have the strength to railroad him. And, once the D there learn it, they'll know it's coming. I understand that he has a wicked shot, so they'll have to respect his forehand, but as soon as he starts pulling, most D in the NHL won't have their hips turned out. So it won't work. They'll either just knock the puck away, level him, or just take the body without hitting him. No matter what, as much as I love seeing it (and I really do), it's one of those things that works well when you're playing against kids. Let him try that on Gudas, or Ristolainen, or any other big hitter. Still, it's fun to watch.
@TChockey
@TChockey Жыл бұрын
Of course you got a point, 80% of insane decks he is putting wont work at the NHL level. But he got so much more to his game than good hands, he will be fine
@darthollpheist1156
@darthollpheist1156 Жыл бұрын
@@TChockey For sure. I think he's a generational talent. And who knows. You have to respect his shot so that forces these guys to be ready for it. And at this level, that gives him time to do that dirty dangle. While it probably won't work in the NHL, you never know. Look at McDavid. Most people thought he would have a slow start.... obviously, there was nothing slow about it. So he might be able to adapt the move into something that works in the NHL. Get the puck in there feet or something. Make them have to play the body then slide past it like Kane or McDavid or any other high level stick-handlers. He'll do well in the NHL.

Connor Bedard in his prime will undoubtedly be a top 5 player in the league. He’s projected to be better than Auston Matthews, by the time Bedard is 25 he will probably be outperforming McDavid. Of course McDavid will be past his prime, but saying it’s not close is a little bit of an overestimate.

Matthews played in the SHL at the same age as Bedard which is a much harder league and McDavid is the most offensively gifted player the game of hockey has ever seen.
