This is such an emotional piece, it’s so easy to cry when hearing/seeing this. I also liked the voice acting for Connor. The breaking voice like he’s about to cry or scream at any moment. So impactful. Very well done.

While listening to this today, my sister was yelling at me saying that I tell everyone my problems and calls me annoying. She never let me say nobody paid attention to me when I vent and when I went to my aunts house because she made me feel wanted and loved and the personal stuff I had for days was gone. 0:26 Connor sends Miguel a text and 3:52 he responds when it’s to late. I think Miguel might have felt regret since he couldn’t respond soon enough to show him he actually has a friend. (Btw I haven’t read the book or watched the musical or movie or anything this is just a guess.) Edit: He sings this song about how much he doesn’t care for any people when I think he cares a lot for Miguel. And how nobody cares about him and how he has no friends. But Miguel seems to be really close to him. It’s sad how his depression takes out Miguel the part in his life that makes him happy. Edit 2: I haven’t read the book so o k I listened to some of the book (kinda skipped ahead *a lot* but Miguel didn’t get talked about enough, liked his character though 💃 ALSO I THOUGHT THEY WERE JUST FRIENDS SO UH)

I just want you to know that this is a masterpiece and it’s your animatic that’s made me wanna fight to be able to sing this song for my theatre audition, because, though I would sing Santa Fe from Newsies (it’s in my range) I don’t connect to it.
