always funny how we hear stries about how good he was, yet everytime we see him play, he chokes and throws every game. It's like seeing an overhyped character in anime. (I know that was ages ago, it's natural to lose a feeling for some things)

Meh, he mentioned that he played for his country at the worst, but that was probably at some sort of youth level chess for like middle to high school kids. Also Connor probably just lost his motivation or his skill just got worse from not really playing a lot.

I would say that this lesson wasnt even meant to teach him anything, it was more about getting in tune with a monke mind.

@@TryingIGuess he knows the basics. He has tunnel vision which goes with practice and lacks enough understanding about strategies to guess what was his "brain" thinking. Also understanding to build a car has many more pieces to it that you can catch atleast some of information unlike a compound game like chess.

i still blows my mind that i never knew about castling till about a week ago. that's when the king and the rook are moved in the same turn. this sounds like some silly house rule when you've known chess without it for 20 years.

@@simpson6700 Basically if you're approaching someone's unmoved pawn, and they try to move past you by moving their pawn forward two spaces, you can still capture their pawn as though they had only moved it one space. First time I saw it used against me, I thought Chess.com had glitched out on me lol. It's a really satisfying move to use on people, but it's a bit of a pain explaining that it's a legitimate chess rule and not just some house rule bullshittery
