First thing is detox his body. He has the money where he can put himself in a controlled environment for a week hooked up to an IV that will keep him from getting physically sick. Second he has another handpicked opponent. Michael Chandler is that short, blown up wrestler that swings wide and has trash head movement. He doesn't wrestle much because his cardio is as bad as McGregor's. He's also old and 2-3 in the UFC with the wins coming against washed Hooker and a completely washed up Tony Ferguson. So Conor gets what he wants. A washed, inactive and orthodox fighter that throws looping shots. Michael Chandler is a bum but bigger version of Chad Mendes. Chad is way faster. Chad is a far better boxer and has cleaner wrestling. Conor is looking at Chandler the same way he looked at Eddie Alvarez. Too short, less reach, swings wide, doesn't move his head.

This would be an issue for an average celebrity but for a fighter it's virtually impossible to come back from that sort of lifestyle for this length of time.

Getting that massive adrenalin rush with a WIN is the highest high. It's hard to live a normal life after experiencing that for someone who has an addictive personality ...enter...drugs When really he could cut out the drink and drugs and have a better life. He needs to realise that getting back to normal will make him realise that he is a multimillionaire and then live on the buzz of never having to worry about anything, again.

The down fall of this man is incredible, I’ve only heard about past stars doing the same, but to see one in my era is crazy, this guy was lighting in a bottle, he had everything, the chat the look everyone eating from the palm of his hand and above all as he said “people say I talk and I talk but guess fooking what I back it up I back it up” and he really did the man had genuine skill and talent. It’s sad to see but unfortunately it’s a story as old as time. The man went from lighting in a bottle to selling whiskey in a bottle and that’s what he is a coked up salesman that used to fight at a high level (no pun intended)

Thing is, he gave one interview on launch week, probably early morning, and he looked sharp, sober and with it. People were saying he looked like the old Conor... so, it's not just the new Conor. He is abusing drugs still. He can sober up. But what toll? I thought he aged about ten years before Poirier 2... now he looks as old as his dad. Will that be reflected in the octagon?
@DizGuys

Even if he gets totally clean right now, it'd take him at least a year to get close to octagon level fitness due to the toll taken on his system. Tyson Fury did it...but he's a bigger guy. Idk, it's possible but he needs to turn things around quick sharp!

Seems like him arriving for interview not slept still residual from last nights entertainment, then sat there the reality and the nervous tentacies kick in as he rinses 20 thoughts across his fading minced mind to muster some sort of character to sell, and those bright shadow filming lights shining forth after a night on the Irish and Colombian will bring the blinkers on with anyone, but do we also see a mild CTE percentage among this, maybe so, sadly that's the cost of the game he played for some time and the partying and sleepless evenings will magnify that very quickly at this time of his age...

I can also say that if you watch those other press interviews that I’ve seen him having conversations with people within the last week or two does not seem this bad I don’t know what it was in this video and maybe I’m wrong maybe I haven’t watched all of the videos that he’s been in, but I know that I watched a lot including him having a conversation with Jake, Gyllenhaal and GQ and he did not seem even close to a courier as bad as he did in this video but I do think that he needs help

I think we’ll find out eventually that he got addicted to prescription pain killers starting after the leg break. It makes sense that he will have been in pain trying to get back too quick and depressed when no fight was coming to fruition. What solves both. @@elfynwilliams1280 Not true. Yes he's a business man and he's no saint. But unless Conor has pissed him off he would have his back. What's the reason that he won't let him fight then? Conor wants it, he still sells the most ppv, so everyone is a winner. I've been saying it for a while that Conor shouldn't fight an active fighter. Especially anyone in the top 10.
