UFC 246: McGregor vs. Cowboy is an upcoming mixed martial arts event produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship that is scheduled to take place on January 18, 2020 at T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada, part of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Area.
Conor McGregor (born 14 July 1988) is an Irish professional mixed martial artist and boxer. He is a former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight and lightweight champion. As of December 14, 2019, he is #13 in the UFC pound-for-pound rankings and #4 in the UFC lightweight rankings.
In 2015, at UFC 194, he defeated José Aldo for the UFC Featherweight Championship via knockout 13 seconds into the first round, which is the fastest victory in UFC title fight history. Upon defeating Eddie Alvarez for the UFC Lightweight Championship at UFC 205, McGregor became the first fighter in UFC history to hold titles in two weight divisions simultaneously.
In his debut boxing match, he was defeated by Floyd Mayweather Jr. He is the biggest pay-per-view (PPV) draw in MMA history, having headlined five out of the six highest-selling UFC pay-per-view events. His headline bout with Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 drew 2.4 million PPV buys, the most ever for an MMA event. His boxing match with Mayweather drew 4.3 million PPV buys in North America, the second most in history.
Donald Anthony Cerrone (born March 29, 1983), known professionally by his ring name "Cowboy", is an American mixed martial artist and former professional kickboxer. He is currently signed with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and competes in their Lightweight division. As of September 16, 2019, he is #5 in the UFC lightweight rankings.

@SirSev mate regardless of if he hurt him or not, he punched an old man. If he raped someone but they weren't psychologically or emotionally damaged by it but it happened regardless would it mean less? Of course not. Wish I could have thought of a less extreme example but you get my point, the action cannot be justified. He said he didnt like McGregors whisky, that's all.

Minnesota Fatz - It’s not exactly a narrative when Cowboy has admitted it himself. He said on JRE that Nate Diaz beat him before the fight even started by getting in his head and talking shit. He didn’t show up in that fight and was overcome with nerves. Similar to his Masvidal fight. Doesn’t mean Cowboy can’t win regardless but he’s admittedly an emotional guy leading up to the fight and getting in his head is proven to be possible.

Your opponent can talk all the shit they want but ultimately you decide if you're gonna let it affect you. I don't see Cowboy as the sensitive type he's gonna go out there and scrap whether they're being cordial or fuckin despise each other. Every fighter has to do battle with their own minds before they go in there , sometimes they lose and it costs them. The shit the have to overcome we could never empathize or understand sitting in our arm chairs lol.

Spot on and I ate it up! As you mentioned in "Return of the King" - people love a comeback story. I have always appreciated Khabib for being humble and hated Conor. Round 2 of their fight was glory when he was "smashing his face". After this build up I am honestly rooting for Connor. I, like most, know what it's like to be down... I hear it in his voice and want him to win. Respect to Donald as well. How can you not love him. Thanks for continuing to make amazing content. Please keep going.
