Hayes was some man! Am not a fan of ROG, but I acknowledge his contribution bringing Ireland, to where they are now. Along with POC, BOD, Strings, Horgan, Wallace, D'Arcy, etc..... Long may it continue

Looks like Donncha O'Callaghan was pulling 17 out of the way to create the half-gap that ROG went for, and Jacobsen used his fist to politely ask him not to!

Sick and tired of hearing this. IT IS LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO SWALLOW YOUR TONGUE. I see people ramming their fingers into people’s mouths when they’ve been knocked unconscious and it’s one of the worst things you can do. Put them in the recovery position, and call an ambulance, that’s it.
@edithgruber21252 ай бұрын
A small bit important correction to this: You should still check if the airways are free and remove anything like vomit or blood that could get down the airways. That's why we are taught to put our fingers into the mouth of an unconscious person - but only if there is a reason, i.e. you see some debris in there. The tongue would block the airways if you don't put an unconscious person into the recovery position because of loss of muscle tone. In the recovery position, it can't roll back, that's the whole point of putting someone into the recovery position. Of course, you can't swallow it, it's connected by ligaments, but it can obstruct the airways if the person lies on their back.

Guedel designed a wee thing that stopped...oh I know your tongue going back and occluding airway.

ROG was awful soft tbf
@mryan44523 ай бұрын
A little, but he was light and small versus the bigger players. Opponent teams often targeted him coz he was a v good kicker. A ROG bad kicking game could be difference between a win and a loss for opponent team, they knew that and went for him. Look at Sexton, often targeted, and often went off injured (albeit not as much he's a bigger guy)

As a Munster man... you'd always hate to see ROG running with the ball. It wasn't that he was soft... he was just light and couldn't match physicality... in other words... he was a bit soft. 😂
