In today’s challenge video we are going to play Paradox Interactive’s brand new 4x strategy game Millennia, a direct competitor to Civilization V and Civilization VI. We’re going to play as the Aztec Empire and conquer the world as fast as possible using the power of UNLIMITED FREE RAIDERS! “Khan” we achieve ultimate victory in this Millennia challenge video? To make things more challenging we will also be playing as only one city, forbidding the use of settlers and playing on master difficulty to obtain the full Millennia experience but just how far will we succeed in this alternative history mockumentary? Every video I’ve seen on this game has broken it to pieces, you did raiders, kleaper did crusaders, spiff did raiders, etc.

So, the majority of your state consists of conquered vassals forced to pay a great deal of tribute, with only a small "core" being directly controlled? This was a very Aztec-style playthrough...

I don't mind you taking these sponsorships to show off the game, it's actually quite helpful, but this one looks kinda mediocre. I appreciate the idea of a new take on the Civilization formula, but this video just doesn't show off enough differences to make me want to buy it. The battle simulations are a cool idea, but aren't that visually impressive IMO.

@@KarlKapo Read some Steam reviews, and I'll be honest, from what I'm reading, if they released it as early access, and the DLC wasn't paid DLC but just an update to the game, it seems like most people wouldn't have an issue with it. So is this the dev trying to copy Paradox's failing business model that they really need to change, or is Paradox as a publisher forcing the dev to monetize the game like this?

Does this game have a large earth map with TSL? I lused to enjoy CIV all the way until VI when Furaxis broke their own code and made the best TSL mods unplayable. Been looking for a historical 4x game ever since.

Thanks for the funny video. It also helped me choose not to recommend or buy this game. It looks like a cheesy, shallow and poorly thought out mobile game. It does not appear to even attempt to honor the people it is representing.
