Hi there! Thanks for the question. There is a bean hopper for the whole beans and then there is a bypass chute for preground coffee. Many espresso machines have this feature. Have a great day.

Was noticing music being distracting as well. Video was still informative however. Would have liked more info on the milk storage and cleaning.
