This channel is criminally underrated!

You're really getting better at writing these, and the opening skit was pretty impressive with how you set up a convincing action scene with only two actors.

Just started watching but had to write that the "are we DOIN this!?" in this episode is priceless and had me in tears. From the little bit of beer coming out of the can to Dan obviously trying to hold back laughter I'm glad that take was the one you guys went with.

I love that you guys have been going for so long. Production has gotten a lot better over time and you can tell you put in a ton of effort. Thank you for giving us a few moments with each release to get lost

Graphics: Both sides have their own uniqueness. tie. Presentation: I agree that the presentation is better on SNES. Sound: Music speeding up for the boss fights does not give any edge. Sound effects seem to be missing in both. Tie. Gameplay: Points are worthless if they are not used for something in the game besides a high score. Having to double-tap to run or using a run button is nothing to debate about. Bonus levels can be nice IF YOU DON'T LOSE LIVES IN THEM! Using only 2-3 or so hats as a life meter is a joke compared to a life bar. No time limit is way better. No attack jumps suck. No powerups suck. The SNES version is much more difficult for the wrong reasons. Sega Wins. Sega Genesis wins for so much better gameplay. Flashback is next!

The Console Wars theme never gets old,absolutely a Masterpiece (just like this channel and and all of it's videos)!

It always makes my day seeing new Console Wars. This was great. I never played either version but it would have been SNES. I’d seen it as a rental but assumed it was lame. I prolly would have liked it. Really great video, Fellers!

On 15:13 where Dan breaks into Pats Best Gameplay conclusion reminds me of the Best Sound sector of the Final Fight 2 vs Streets of Rage 2 epidode. Also the gag that everything is made with green screen without any practical effect, wants to make me laugh and cry at the same moment.

Another good ep. Like always, Console Wars shines a light on two games I figured had to just be the exact same. Can't wait for episode 100. I think the series could do with some more arguing (I always think of your Kirby Avalanche and Mean Bean Machine episode), but the skits in this one were fun and hope you can keep it up for a hundred more after Flashback.

Pink Panther was one of those shows they only aired at 5am, but I would always wake up early to watch that and Heathcliff

I feel like this is something that very little people know about this game, but If you plug in a second controller (on Snes, not sure about Sega) and hit a button you can enter what I assume is some kind of developer mode. It enters you into a flying state that you can beat most levels pretty easily by putting your body out of hit box range. I discovered this by grabbing the wrong controller as a child.

I love how some of the bystanders are just Dan with different outfits on

Stupendous episode guys. The opening alone was awesomely done, a lot of work put into it. I will say I do like how more colorful the SNES game looks, so I was a bit surprised to see Sega get the win after losing 2 categories. Personally I never played this game before, but I would check out one of them, particularly the Sega version, mostly for the improved gameplay. Oh boy, next episode...the 100th episode is gonna be "Flashback"! Never played that one either, but it does sound like a solid pick for such a milestone episode! 🤩

Also, my idea of “exclusive” fighters; Killer Instinct vs. Eternal Champions. Another fighter that appeared on both systems was Weapon Lord. Which do you think was the better version? Hopefully, those are videos in the works. I won’t expect any kickbacks. 😉 I just wanna see you make some of those videos.

Very entertaining episode as per usual although i gotta respectfully disagree about the graphics. Those color palettes on the SNES gave me an eyesore, the background and foreground fighting to get our attention with ramped up saturation made it looked so colorful yet so flat, while the SEGA version have a MUCH more detailed background yet so much easier on the eyes because it was less vibrant compared to the foreground giving it more depth and contrast between the 2. And don't get me started about the animation, the enemies on SNES almost looked like a cardboard cutout, barely animated at all ...

For the 1st time, a game won with only 1 category. This is a bold new step. Alpha, you are watching History in the Making! And may the Power Protect you.

Great video! I remember playing this a lot as a kid (on the....Super Nintendo) and noticing just how difficult it was to play.

Even though I love your videos, I'm usually not the biggest fan of the skits. This one, however, had me laughing out loud like crazy. The movie sets idea was brilliant, and the rope joke was classic comedy at its best (and very well delivered). Well done!

Only significant complaint I have is I don’t think the difficulty footage was the most convincing-it didn’t look like the person playing was genuinely surprised by whatever got them. That can be hard to pull off, but the way SEGA talked about it you’d think he was reliving memories of being locked in a room with the SNES version of the game, and the footage doesn’t really sell it, even from a hyperbolic standpoint.

We sure this one wasn't written by M. Night Shyamalan? Didn't see Sega winning this one. Crazy twist in the middle where the SNES version started sucking out of nowhere. Great episode.
