Noomi Rapace is awesome in everything.

I tend to think of these Apple originals as megamovies rather than conventional series. The story arcs can be so complex and interwoven that there's little hope of holding then straight in your head when seen once a week. Constellation is shaping up to be the most complex yet and it was a good decision to drop the first 3 ep's together to give the viewer a foundation for the next five. I'm hooked, though I already know that in a couple of months I'll be revisiting S1 in binge mode. As for other mind melters how about Prime's The Periphial. Despite being a Gibson fan who first read the book years ago the adaptation had my brain spinning at times.

I was looking for a Romanian review channel and.. I found your person. very well you mentioned that the film is complicated and requires patience. in Romania this series is totally ignored. it's strange because the German dark series was watched with great interest. I don't want to bore you. in the end, I'm impressed by Rosie Coleman, this girl is made to become a movie star, an extraordinary future. thank you very much for the review. I wish you all the best.

I'm relieved to hear that you really like the series. After the confusion of the first 3 eps and knowing the theme is quantum mechanics, I was worried there wouldn't be any logical resolutions. Guess I'll stick it out!

has anybody saw the inconsistency related to the CAL project and Jo? In the 1st episode we see Jo talk to her daughter in swedish and english and showing her the CAL project, which she says, she does not understand what it does. However in the last episode, she say, her daughter speaks both swedish and english but she does not remember the CAL project. We were led to understand that she crossed over from her universe/timeline where her daughter knows swedish and english and she does not know anything about the CAL project. However, in the new timeline/universe, where her daughter only knows english, she had to retrieve the CAL project from the ISS, and talk to the rusian lady which she did not know anything about, but did not say anything until the last episode where she explained she did not know her and also the CAL project did not know what it was.... isn't this a huuuge gap in the story that does not make any sense?

will indeed add this to my queue! True D season 4 finale melted my brain a little - did not see the ending coming but it makes SO much sense, and is just such a great ending that brings justice.

Watched the first three episodes and it’s very good. I’m slightly concerned the show is going to blow its load a little too early. By the end of episode 3 it seems pretty obvious what’s going on. I wish they would have taken the pace a bit slower.

I liked the series very much. Binged several episodes and watched a lot of video commentary to keep on top of the situations. Here’s my question, the characters were all very in their moments, Alice looking for mama, Jo piecing together her life and the why if it all, Henry haunted by his Jekyll. But, if you were in the situation of any of them, wouldn’t you be asking more questions? Wouldn’t you be searching out other relatives and friends for clues? Checking news accounts, photo albums, maybe investing in a really good cassette player? The characters in many ways seemed locked into narrow paths. It told a tight story I give it that but did the characters go about this in a realistic manner?

As you said great acting and you have to stick it out I think it will definitely be worth the trip.

I watched episode 1 & by the end I was confused completely

Mass melted my brain...and heart...and lungs and liver...not sure it was in a good way 8-/ Tár would fit that bill. Finally watching The Last Of Us - ep 3 was awesome in so many ways. Which reminds, must be time for my annual Primer rewatch soon. a couple dozen more viewings and I'm sure I'll finally 'get it' lol!

I am a bit afraid if they had to spend 3 episodes only to show how parallel reality would feels like from a person own viewpoint there will be not much space for scientific content

I kind-of liked it. 2001 A Space Odyssey comes to mind, where space makes you crazy. Why the main characters were Brits and not Yankees is rather strange. And Russians seem to be the ones in-charge, so there's an underlying theme that America has fumbled the space exploration football. That's not accurate, since SpaceX is on the cutting edge of everything. Fell asleep a couple of times because it's been a slow grind, hoping for better episodes..do you copy that?😂

I’m a huge sci-fi fan so I’m used to getting my hopes up and being disappointed. I’m no snob either.. I thought for sure I would hate Lost In Space and I actually thought it was really fun to watch, although the ending was a bit clunky. But unfortunately Constellation is proper rubbish.

Once again: science, misheard. Constellation and the "observer effect" it's based upon has it all wrong. The so called (and romancised) "observer effect" has nothing to do with the mind of the observer, but the light (or any energy form) used to observe. Period. This series in a letdown (again), imho.

I am only halfway through ep. 3, so if i spoil, it is by accident. I am sorry to disagree with your assessment but Constellation is neither thrilling nor complex. Like invasion, it is another example of SyFy without science. The plot is not complex at all, the magical space particle has opened a gateway to a quantum portal and we have to sit through hours of random flashback, flashforwards and eerie happenings to find that out. I am a fan of both Rapace and Banks but they can not save this POS. I am abandoning it. Time of death 34 min into rp. 3.

If only Apple could make great quality movies like how they do for their shows.

Garbage this show is to slow my ADHD even on 2.0x. By ep.3 I figured the plot out and was bored to tears waiting to be right by ep. 8. This guy must be getting paid.

No, I can't recommend this one. I watched the 5 episodes so far and ... it just goes off the rails. It is slow and boring. There is an underlying story about the cosmonauts and their space stories that are a bit mystical and unreal, about the governments trying to suppress them from talking so they don't hurt the image of the space programs, and there is also the whole line they try to develop - that she and other spacemen are able to see between different realities and that drives them crazy. And there is the story about the dead Russian cosmonaut that somebody recorded on Earth, but the Soviets denied her existence and the people who made the recordings were made to be hoaxters who were just looking for fame. I don't mind any of it, but this is enough material for a mediocre 1.30 Hrs movie, not a full season series. The whole thing is fluffed up with random weirdness that should add sense of mystery and paranoia, but when it's not backed up by a serious story it looks just sprinkled on top. Really out of place. It is not really driving the story. Like a guy who gets pushed out of a boat and it doesn't matter at all! Why did you even put that there? Every single scene where the characters peer through the veil of 2 different dimensions it is completely unrelated to the story. That's because they are just decorations added afterwards. They don't blend in. But my biggest complaint about this series is this: she kidnaps her own daughter and drags her out to a cabin in the middle of nowhere in a snow storm. With no reason whatsoever! She also steals a science experiment she knows nothing about - once again - with no reason whatsoever! She just does it. An in a time when she asks desperately for people to believe that she is not crazy. Come on! This just kills the whole series for me. Poor dragged out writing trying to spread a mediocre story for a movie and turn it into a mini series. No. Not a good series. The last movie I saw with her I thought it was awesome. Maybe check that out - Black Crab. Very atmospheric and apocalyptic.
