Great discussion as always! Just a note - Paul’s body was actually brought back to earth by Jo, so it couldn’t have been him that helped Jo’s ship get off the ISS… I’m thinking blue Jo actually helped them both at the same time somehow 🤔 something to do with superposition, maybe?

Im struggling with something : Henry and Bud swapped their realities years ago during Apolo 18 incident, Bud got into Henry universe and Henry got into Bud universe. Now, both swapped again their realities, so they should have returned to their original universes. Something like this : Before Apolo 18 : Universe A : Bud Universe B : Henry Swap After Apolo 18 : Universe A : Henry ( known as Bud in this reality ) Universe B : Bud ( known as Henry in this reality) 2nd Swap : Universe A: Bud Universe B : Henry So with that 2nd reality swap they should have both returned to their original realities, but i noticed something strange : - Why Henry says he's not called Bud in his own original reality where he should be originally called Bud ?! He only got called Henry in the wrong universe. I thought he just forgot he was called Bud because of the pills but Bud is known as Henry in his own reality where he should be known as Bud instead, so something there is wrong to me... He even says to Irena "Im not Henry, Henry is gone" So he knows he is called Bud but everyone knows him as Henry in this universe where in fact he should be known as Bud instead because that's his own original universe ! He even says he forgot who he really was for a while because of the pills and he also says that Henry will remember who he really was. Am im confused somewhere or missing something, or is the scenario wrong ? I Wonder if they are not in fact both called Henry and all this confusion is because the "alcoholic Henry" decided to be called Bud.

In episode 2, Henry and Irina have a dialogue about their "brother/sister"! Irina says "you know that my sister is dead" and Henry says that his "brother" hasn't bother him for years. So they both knew about parallel universes and their other selves.

Both alive and dead, because her body has been activated from Jo's activity with Alice and Magnus.. Also, Jo seeing the two men in the room could be it is her left eye that sees the second man (from the other universe). Notice that her left eye does not respond to the light shining on her pupil, because the left eye is from the other universe and can not interact with the universe she is now in. Also, the first scene of this episode of Jo looking down at the earth, could be the same Jo whose body is floating in space. In the first scene, we never see her face and her body's position seems to be identical to the dead Jo's body floating.

Here's something I don't understand (aside from WHY this amazing show was canceled 😭😭😭): Henry told Irena early on that he hadn't heard from his "brother" in years, "thank God." He got the better deal between the two of them by a LONG shot - he got to come back as a hero and get a Nobel Prize he didn't actually deserve, because his crew are the ones who actually died - he swapped places with his counterpart who fixed the spaceship and saved his crew. So why is Henry the one digging for answers with the CAL experiment? If his counterpart Bud hasn't bothered him in years and he's sitting pretty here as the big hero, why go messing around with this? He screwed himself big time! He later tells Bud in the mirror that he invented a device that seems to be making things worse - the CAL. If he had just left well enough alone, he most likely wouldn't have been swapped back to his original universe. The irony is that after years of taking credit for a success he didn't achieve, now he has to take the fall for crimes he didn't commit. Another brilliant plot twist in this spectacular show.

Also, he had the keys because he was given the keys to give Jo. Irena wanted Jo to see the guys upstairs. It was purposeful. There’s no reason that guy would have a set of keys to that facility. He’s an astronaut not an employee. How would a visitor steal keys and nobody ever noticed keys were missin?? That was a setup. Done to see if she saw them both or just one. 💭

Really loved this review. I’m watching you three shaking my head yes as if I was in your conversation. So is Jo having twins? The two men called her mamma, are they her twins? Also Paul surprised to see his arm intact, so did he switch with dead Paul? Yes, to season 2, of course!!

I think that Jo on the last shot was the one that helped Paul escape the ISS.

Nah man. Red Jo’s consciousness is in Blue Jo’s body. The baby is from the blue and she is inside the body of blue…. Their consciousness switch, not their physical bodies. It’s why Buds DNA is the same even tho Henry thought it would be mirrored.

I don't think Ilya thinks Jo is mad, to me it seems like he think she is right but plays along so Irena and the others don't suspect at him. He knows about Vladimir as he said in episode 3, he probably knows a lot more than we're led to believe.

In all episodes sometimes Jo hears a voice and handles his left eye with a pain. I guess those times are both Jo's minds were trying switch to their own universe. However due to body of Jo in the ISS is medically dead, these swicthes occurs only one glimp of a time. I think, at the final shot of the episode, that was one of those switch attempts and Jo in the ISS suddenly moved as she is alive for a moment and held the ipad.

The first scene with Jo looking at earth, could be the same Jo that is in the last scene with only one eye! Jo does not move in the first scene and her body position looks close to one she is dead and her body floating.

I loved this episode. And this breakdown is 🔥 I missed some of the things you guys caught. Hope there is a season 2, but I think there has to be.

I think there's some quantum entanglement going on between Jo and her semi-dead other self. As long one is alive the entanglement causes the other one to remain alive.

Question: if the tape player burned up and melted on the liminal space, how are they both back intact in the blue and red worlds?? Then, they can still use them to communicate even tho we saw the player melt in the cabin….. How??!?!!

The man upstairs is Vladimir Ilyushin! In the scene where the ISS team is walking to Paul's grave to leave flowers, Ilya mentions a conspiracy about Ilyushin being the first man in space. I think Ilya knows way more than we think.

I think the old man was in the liminal world that’s why there were two of him. I think he is acting as the tape player and is talking for the red Alice. Red Alice calls her mamma.

Red Alice is more empathetic than Blue Alice because she always had the love and attention of her mamma. Blue Alice on the other hand, had not as much attention from her blue Jo since she was always gone because she was cheating on Magnus. Blue Alice finally has an attentive mom. She’s not going to give her up.

That final shot was a WTF? for me. She was dead...and now she's not?

The last scene is definitely a Schrodinger's cat situation. They did it with the cabins last episode but this is on a wider scale. And I think it puts Jo in a unique position because she is literally in a bliminal space. And because of that she is dead and alive because she is not being observed. I think what's happening with Irena is that she mite have given up hope knowing about and experiencing the switch and the fact that she has had to live with it and neither she nor Henry could fix it. And she is now trying to get Jo to do the same. But I do think there is still way more going on than what this season has shown us. Like Irena said to Alice "down the rabbit hole"

Also, the CAL was destroyed but the 2 Alices could still communicate through the recorder, which means the doorway is not closed, possibly because the fetus is the new CAL.

I'm disappointed apple decided not to proceed with season 2.

You guys should call it original reality and alternate reality instead of red and blue. Much easier for people to understand.

How did everyone like the Finale? Do you want a Season 2?

The show was already overcomplicated, but zombies? WTF??

I die a little bit inside every time I have to endure an “ending” like we’ve been given with episode 8. It’s obvious they’ve effectively hedged their bets as to whether they get a second season, whereby they’ve given Jo and Alice a half arsed tie up but there’s plenty of mystery still unresolved for a potential second season to explore. I felt episodes 1 to 7 were some of the most compelling TV I have watched in a long time, but after episode 8 I won’t be investing in any second season if it happens. This show is going nowhere and won’t be be giving us the answers or emotional payoff we want(ed). Seen it so many times before and it’s just hugely disappointing. Write the whole fucking story, with a beginning middle and end, before you sell it and start making it. Fuck Capitalism.

What happens to one ... happens to the other .. the dead Jo is pregs with the other guys baby... While alive Jo is pregs with other Magnus baby ...they are both pregs with someone elses baby ... The dude upstairs is Irena and buds son .. Paul could not have pressed the button...Jo brought his body back minus the arm... Only his arm is in space ....

I believe the whole series was horribly written full with repetitive episodes going nowhere. How is it possible a scientific astronaut could not understand what’s going on and your 11 y/o daughter figures it out in a couple of episodes?!. Jo’s husband a completely useless character in both universes and there should have been more interactions between Jo and Henry thru the whole series…but the show was cancelled so we’ll never find out.
