God bless Rod Lewis and the crew at Fighter Rebuilders for meticulously restoring this beauty. Seeing her arrival at Oshkosh on Thursday was the highlight of my week at the show. “Majestic” is the best way to describe her in flight.

Another wonderful restoration!!! Many thanks to all who contributed!!! I got to fly in a similar aircraft about thirty years ago. "Camarillo Connie" took passengers out of Moffett Field following an airshow. One of my wonderful memories was doing a left bank turn over the San Francisco waterfront and seeing the reflection of the Golden Gate Bridge in two of the polished aluminum propellers. Simply beautiful!!!

My buddy and I were at the Ft. Rucker musem in the mid 70s and snuck under the plastic shield to sit in the cockpit of Bataan III. The museum was all but empty back then.

Most beautiful airliner ever. Bataan means a lot to me personally as two of my great uncles survived the Bataan Death March, then were killed later on hell ships sunk by the US and Japan. Bring her to San Antonio!

You didn't mention the most useful Connies. The EC 121 D and T models along with the c 121C, all of which I accumulated about 1000 hours in during the Vietnam war. I Flew as Flight Engineer in 1967,68, & a bit in '69, before I was medically grounded for with back problems. I was involved in 66 combat missions during that time. I was with the 552 AEW&C Wing out of Mclellan AFB, CA. The wing now wears the name 552nd AWAC Wing. This was a great presentation, but I would have liked it better if All military Connies had been included along with the US Navy's Willy Victor. Great video.
