Q: How can you get the bottom of the fence to rot and get the wood to be damaged by a weed whacker ? A: Place the grass right against it without a concrete or brick mowing strip edge.

That fire pit gonna smoke the whole neighborhood up! no fresh air intake holes in the bottom plus after one rain storm its gonna be a fishpond ... Do better next time!

It turned out to be only 5" deep, so theres plenty of air to get the fire going and I made a cover for it to protect from the elements.

It is not a good idea to build fire pit with concrete, because it will crack when heating the concrete, it is very difficult to remove once you don’t want it, plus no supporting air from the bottom of the pit. I used concrete blocks and metal frame.

I think it's great looking and it looks like it will last many years. But, perhaps we could see your brickwork and not so lame work. It would be a great comparison. Got a video of your version...?
