Nice. I like that the video of your processes do not waste time but are damd thorough where it needs be. Easy to follow and watch. There must have been a Hell of a lot of editing and persistence to get to the stage of presenting this well honed video. A question please ? What is the holding ring (hollow, sheath like onto wood) between the handle and blade called ? I'm trying to track down this item or something I can purchase pre made and barstardise if need be. Having a name for this "thing" would be Damd helpfully. Thank you.

This is EXACTLY what I've been looking for. I'm 26 and have spent over a decade working on electronics and firearms, but recently got into wood chopping and wanted to build an axe the "manly way" and I wanted a method without power tools. I bought a cheap $40 husky axe head and a hickory handle, I sanded the handle and oiled it and it looks amazing, but the head is dull and looks pretty rough so this is my next step.

Nice work but what type of motor did you use, it's HP, voltage, amps, frame type, and what kind of controller was used for that motor? Also, how did you connect it all together?

I bought this one new the only problem I found with it is that a has a safety shot off switch when it over heats. And when you need it the most it won’t turn on. I filled up the tank and I started using it and then shut off. It think it’s over heating. When it’s not. And know there is nothing wrong with it. That’s the way it’s built. If you haven’t had this problem you will eventually.

Perhaps you should have put some holes in the bottom of the hearth during the pouring stage: 1. for air intake 2. for water drainage

I get the distinct feeling, that this footage was sped up, and it didn't take 10 minutes to build this grinder. Can't quite put my finger on any definitive reason why, though. 🤔 😂🤣😂
