A 'naive' consumer review of INDESIT WASHER DRYER model IWDD7123.
At time (summer 2017) was around £295.
Some background noises are my fridge freezer (including the freezer fan).
UPDATES :
sep17 : Water Valve 'banging' in DRYER cycle.
I also have had this dryer 'wash-hammer' noise cycle (twice). • Indesit washer dryer. ...
I currently presume it's 'normal' but don't know why. Lasts maybe 3 minutes. Perhaps it's an occasional self-test. Not happened for maybe 12 washes (about 2/14).

Thanks for the review. I have just bought this washer/dryer for my son and as hes in scotland and im in northern ireland i found it difficult to help him sort what wash cycles he needed etc. Your review meant that i could see the machine being worked and i was able to tell him what settings to use and also send him the link. Keep up the good work x

You have a very calm voice, so I am falling asleep,though it was a good instruction video, helped me out for AirBnB accommodation's washer/dryer!

All the temps on the drawer are just the maximum temps. You can lower them using the dial. Say you’ve got a heavy soiled load and you want to use program 1 but your load can’t handle 90, you can lower it to whatever you want or what you think is best for the load!

the right hand dial is the dryer time in minutes (0, 40, 60, 100 etc) ... turn it to 0

I don't know how to compare, but it does feel like it takes a long time, but that includes like towels and things. Currently I'm trying wool balls to try and expose the laundry during the cycle.

I'm still figuring out how to dry the clothes without having it on for 240 hrs. It just took me 2hrs drying 2 sweaters and a towel and they came out wetter than how they went in.

same here. the 'drying' seems to often make it wetter. maybe even need to choose the 3 hour option ? a dry sensor would be nice (would have thought laws insisted on this). maybe separate heavy wet stuff from light stuff (??). I have found a lot of annoyances since my original post. still a 'decent' wash and reasonably quiet (and doesnt shake much)

Hey does any1 know how to open the door I had to stop it and I don't nó how to open the dorr now it doesn't look like there's water in there been bout 20 minits now. Help

it usually unlocks after about 5 mins. The red light at light at the bottom of the light panel is the lock-light. If its red you can't open. If orange, you can.

In the instructions there is prewash cycle but I can’t find it?

I can't be sure but I don't think it has prewash. Mine is 3 years old.

This machines takes ages to wash or spin at least3 hours wash

you are right. colored cotton at 40 deg = 2 hours 5 min sometimes i use 'sports intensive' (1 h 25 min) 'jeans at 40 deg' is 1h20 ... but not used it.

use the other end of the hose (with elbow) for washer and the straight side for water valve connection. it fits better this way.

I have this exact model and hate it. It's extremely loud and very very inefficient. A simple load of laundry takes 5+ hours. The express wash and dry is too weak to do anything except a very small number of clothes. I used to have a different brand that could do express wash and dry in 30 min with 3/4 of a load and no issues.

I had a indesit water balance IWC71452 from 2018 tge motor bairings & drum bairings went bad after 4 years of use it gonna happen to you aswell

with hindsight I'm not much keen on it either. I said I had lots of control of the settings, but its just a few fixed variables really. what happened to 'pre wash' etc ? main wash is like 2 hours 10 mins ... too long imho.
