Same here. I am a proud Nigerian, but I do not think Oshimen will do a better job than Jackson. In my opinion, Jackson is a better footballer than Oshimen. The way Jackson drops and carries the ball is very underrated. There will be goals in this team next seasons.m. With a fit Nnkunku, Jackson, Palmer and Madueke Chelsea will be fine. They just need to build more chemistry.

Even though Jackson is on 15 goals in all comps I still think we should go for Osimhen. Jackson is more Anelka meets Demba Ba... Osimhen is more in the mould of Drogba, Costa & Hasselbaink. He offers a different skillset/threat to Jackson.

Stats are more a guide than the true guage of how good a striker is/was... Drogba was immense for us but stats, for the most part, didn't do what he did on the pitch justice. • Pinning/spinning world class defenders • Finishing • Deciding Big games for us • Aerial threat • Pedigree Osimhen offers a diiferent skillset/threat to Jackson... he's an answer to Mbappé, Håland, Darwin, Kane, Lewandowski etc in a way that Jackson isn't ... He's not really better than them but he's OUR answer to those strikers and will make us better up front.

What I like about oshimen is that even though he is not scoring or assisting, he has almost the same industry that Gallagher has. I feel that will compliment pochettino system. However, oshimen isn’t a clinical finisher, I won’t be shocked if palmer ends up our top goalscorer next season . But, oshimen should improve our attacking flow. I just hope Jackson can adapt to that wide attacking role. Nkunku needs to step up

Osimhen at €80-€90m + Lukaku is a good deal. It’s interesting to see what Napoli will say bc they are difficult to deal with but on the surface this is a great starting point. Osimhen is my first choice bc he gives us what we sorely need up top. Jackson is developing well considering we spent £30m on him: 13 league goals, 16 total in his first season in the Prem…if anyone said this is what he will contribute at the beginning of the season they would’ve taken it no questions asked compared to the disgrace performances we got from Bums like Havertz last yr. Still not sold on Poch leading this project next yr but would love to see this team healthy and together fully atleast one time🙏🏿

Pochettino has patiently guided this young, inexperienced Chelsea team towards actually being a team. e.g. Madueke assist pass to Jackson for the 4th goal... Provided they carry on performing like this, the 14 players injured won't matter that much. If Chelsea can sign Osihmen, then that'll potentially give a good start to next season.

I’m still not majorly into Osimhen for that price. Getting rid of Lukaku is good mostly bc of his wages though so could be worth it. I feel Solanke is that perfect level of rotational with Jackson where its not a direct replacement. Osimhen would do well here of course though I do think he is more of a run in behind striker though his aerial ability will be useful against deep block teams so pros and cons.

A lot of this likely due to injury, but we do not need a 120 mil injury prone player. Solanke is much less injury prone and still has a good all around game. Just saying its an option

No he’s not he’s 21. Made little to no impact at Leicester and hasn’t made any impact here. I’m sure he’ll be a decent player but not a top player. He started 8 games for Leicester and was mostly used as a sub. Done well for Italy U21 but so does madueke when they play against less complete experienced players most younger than they are

Biggest difference between Victor and Nico is that Victor has more finishing options in his locker, that’s the reason why he scores more goals. Nico rarely attempts a volley or lacing the ball for example. He either tries a soft curl or a Inside foot pass/shot.

@@jaytrimble7440 If you look at his finishing its quick accurate there's aggression pace and power to his game. He knows where the back of the net is. Osimhen isn't a bad option either in my opinion Italy is also weaker than EPL. Look at Lukaku top scorer in Serie A didn't hit the same numbers cause he couldn't link up effectively outside the box Osimhen and Lukaku are no different. Jackson is doing relatively well cause he is linking up in all areas. Don't get me wrong Osimhen will get goals but 120m is a robbery.

Nini, what about Brighton's head of recruitment coming off of gardening leave, now that he's free to work as a senior figure to bring in players, wouldn't we then wait until we assess our season before making any signings? I think that's the route we should take, stop overspending on fancy names and rather assess and buy who suit the systems the manager wants to play and the player profiles that are already here, until the club decides the manager for next season, no signings

To challenge in a league like EPL and win titles, you need a top striker. Look at Arsenal, Man City before Halland, and so on. Osihmen is a fighter 💪. To Challenge, we need either of the two Victors😊

I 100% agree to your comment here. This is exactly what Chelsea need, on top striker, one top defender and one very good creative midfielder that plays better through balls than our current guys to challenge our current players and take them to a whole different level. For example, we need a top quality defender to replace Silva, we need a top striker to ginger up the finishing profile of Jackson (Jackson holds up play blah blah blah is the aspect of his game that makes him have to many touches before thinking of taking a shot in the box or shooting in 1v1 situations) and Chelsea do not need that, a one touch striker is super important to challenge him (either Victor Osimhen or Victor Gyokeres fit that profile) A creative midfielder similar in profile to the likes of Mata, Fabregas, Ozil, David will be needed. A step ahead of Enzo, Chukwuemeka, or Palmer who obviously will be gunning for goals next season rather than the assists. And finally, the left wing should be occupied by Nkunku as 1st choice to drive the improvement of Mudryk. . Sterling should be added to Lukaku for the Osimhen deal cause he is on a decline already and I expect nothing else from Sterling, he has reached his ceiling. At all cost we should keep Gallagher and Chalobah. They are quality squad players that other clubs are envious of... which are also great ingredients to a successful season. Remember utility like Ramires back then

I feel you about sharing the goals around the team but we could still do that and have a 20goal a season striker. My worry is that I’m still not FULLY sold on Osimehn for that price. I love his skills and as a Nigerian I would love for him to do well and prove me wrong. But I still have some niggling doubts. Maybe it’s my big money striker trauma. But also I LOVE Jackson. If you check the things I say under each video I believe he’s going straight to the TOP.

I'm really happy with the team we have. I'm emotionally invested with all our players. Watching Nico Jackson's hold-up play in the last couple of games; I'm not sure I've ever seen better in a Chelsea shirt. Drogba was amazing but I don't remember seeing him: protect the ball, turn and attack the space from halfway. It's an incredible skill-set Nico is showing us. I don't think we're making a big enough deal about it. Do we really want to diminish that by changing the balance of our attack? I'm gassed by what I've seen and I want to see more of it.

I am very much agree with you. Instead of spending so much money for Osimhen if we can go for a top class left-winger as we already have Knunku, Palmer and Jackson improve a lot and I believe he will be better next season. We have Madueke and Mudryk will come good next season.

NiiNii... I have to agree with you, my friend. That "Devil's Advocate" outlook is certainly how we should be viewing things right now. The young guys are playing very well and showing signs of bonding into a top team. Poch has seemed to finally settle his head and the squad is in form. We also have so many players who will be coming back from injury. Do we want to shake things up again with another player who has to adapt to the physicality of the EPL and take time to gel? I love Victor but that's a LOT of money. What do we do with Washington, Whisper Richards, and TG if we keep buying? Those guys are all aspiring for more playing time (or First Team) eventually. Should we maybe turn our attention to a cheaper Ollie Watkins and use the other money to stave off FFP (or get a new Medical Team perhaps 😂)? Just a thought. As usual, we appreciate your content and all your effort.

With Oshismen you could play Nico at left wing. Mudryk still isn’t a constant goal threat. He naturally looks better there anyway. You could rotate Nico at striker when our next injury crisis hits. Oshimen is a quality player but I think he’ll end up at PSG. I’m worried we’ll have to sacrifice Chalobah or Gallagher to get him which would be a mistake.

Chelsea actually need a good Left Winger (Sell Sterling & loan Mudryk), a Top Class & clinical Striker (Get rid of Lukaku & Fofana), a Top Class CB (Thiago is leaving, Sell Malang Sarr & One of either Disasi or Badashile 4 an Aerially active as well as Top notch CB), if we still have the Budget Buy an improved Goal Keeper (If not Petrovic is good, Sanchez & Kepa out). Furthermore, it is imperative to bring Omari Hutchison as our Starting Right Winger (Madueke & him to fight for the shirt buh I think he is better) while Angelo might still need another Loan or if he could perform well at the left? Then we good.

Remember that big clubs need many players for dif positions. So having Osimhen doesnt mean Jackson wont play. 3 strikers Osim - jackson - Nkunku is a stabile base for our team. Just dont overspend or maybe get someone else, im not 100 sold on Osimhen.

The possible signing of victor is a damn if you do damn if you don’t type of situation I think. Could we use him yes. But there is this he could flop hard and they alot of supporters get on him. We have to keep in mind this would be a new league for him so he might not hit the ground running . The development of the players we have this season has been massive from where they started . Must keep building the right way and get players back healthy . Very smart choices must be made at seasons end. Sacking poch might not be wise given how he’s finished the season but I can see a situation where next season it could be a bad or good thing that we did . Anyway up the Chels 🤙🏾

I think Victor would be a great signing but I feel like that could stall the growth of Jackson a little bit with him not playing as a striker and Jackson has shown signs that he could be a world class striker one day. I also think having two strikers from Africa would not be the best move since they would both go for the African Cup of Nations and we will be missing both our strikers for a period of time during the season. Toney would be my pick someone who would not cost as much is clinical and allows Jackson to develop more than Osimhen.

I think osimehn is a must.. especially if we stick to a back 3 a lot of people forget the number nkunku was putting up when playing off a target man.. dont get me wrong osimhen is still abit raw and isn’t a 100million striker.. but he would have had double the goals Jackson has and it allows pressure to be taken off Jackson so he can continue to grow

Two things 1. Relation between Madueke + NJ with Cole Palmer still not normal, watch their body language .Cole Palmer could score more goals if these two had better attitude towards Palmer. 2. You'll never see Mudryk celebrate when Chelsea scores ( except for him ), his mind is still at Arsenal.
