It is a similar technology, with the difference that Anisoprint do a polymer co-extrusion of the fiber, where Markforged uses a pre-coated fiber. The largest downside i have seen with their parts is that they look awful compared to the print quality of Markforged, also they does not have anywhere close to the user experience and software. They are basically at the level where Markforged were a couple of years back when they went to Kickstarter. That said, the larger freedom with the fiber orientation and the higher fiber content do open for some quite interesting applications.

@@erikcederb Quality is obviously a question of time and material choice. If they had limited amount of plastics you can use like Markforged did and limited lots of other possibilities their machine has it would be easier to get better quality. Even with the current freedom, they give to users, most of the parts I've seen look good. And they have slicing software that can be installed from their website for free.

@@vse_horoscho The demo parts they had at TCT Show where i talked to them for quite a while had very rough surface finishes, with clear signs of uneven extrusion blobs, and for the point in the industry where they are aiming, most companies buying aren't going to want to spend the time inventing the wheel and a load of time tuning it in.
