Yea it is NOT CLEAR at all that you have too play the campaign all the way through! It's worth the grind for the coop tho!

This game has equally opposing coop...on one hand the depth is amazing! But you can't even get to that point unless you basically solo the game!? It was a very unprofessional game design.

To a degree. Yes. We took turns until we unlocked the coop. The only way to unlock it completely is to play solo. Epic design fail.

Whoa partner! Slow doooown lol... Ok, first the "story" or campaign missions are the first set of missions that unlock more missions as you beat them. They get very difficult and youmare meant to grind the parts you can u til you gear up and level up enough to beat the levels that are hard, and as you do that you will unlock the levels you need. The coop levels are all unlocked by playing the main game. It's dumb because it's really hard to actually get far enough to unlock anything

I literally had to stop playing, the grind to unlock coop was too much. Some of them have specific criteria aside from just beating it. The game has some greatness but they really failed at the core aspect of Contra...the coop

most of people dont like it,,, i agree there is some shitty animation. very ugly graphic whit purple blood,,, bad color contrast , BUT .. music is awesome, gameplay is good, replayability is very hudge , , grinding and crafting item is the primary goal in this game , veriety of weapon is good BUT ,, many of them are SHIT ,,,, the DLC is an insult ,,, but I REALLY LOVE THAT GAME lol

You're telling me!? Talk about missing the assignment! And it's really tedious and not really worth....which is unfortunate because it has a great loot mechanic and the gameloop would be great if it was balanced better....but make you play the whlle game on solo to unlock some coop....fail!

@@lastknightofhonor8998 same, we tried to make it a family night game. There's some future contra stuff coming but I doubt it'll be the same. Looks like a rebooted original style is coming. Not many options that are close...even Ascend is close but not quite there

Wow that's super epic Contra is still playable on the PS3 and PS5 via disc based bc. Well PSX version of Contra is playable physically on PS3 in HDMI and the PS4 version of Contra is playable physically via PS5 disc based bc on PS5 via HDMI via 4k HDR offline without any BS.
