This was a great practice session. I love finding one thing to practice. During this session I focused on my butt position, keeping it back during my backswing. It was difficult but it worked.
About the Single Plane Swing
The Single Plane golf swing is not a quick fix golf technique. It is a system, beginning at address, that simplifies the most important moment of the golf swing - impact.
Starting at address on two planes where the arms hang straight down at address, the Conventional golf swing is complicated. Because the arms are hanging straight down, a conventional golfer must lift the body into impact creating stress on the back.
This upward movement to accommodate the two planes is unnecessary.
The Single Plane Golf swing simplifies the golf swing by eliminating the need for the upward movement by starting and impacting on the same plane.

Love this video Todd shows that you are always evolving trying to make your swing stronger. I can hear myself saying keep your butt back. Keep your butt back ever after every swing just like you great work.

You know this is a great tip . I went out the back and hit a few balls . Now I feel like I am swinging under my self like Moe used to say and not around my self .

Love this. Sometimes as you are practicing/struggling over what the coach corrected during a video session the thought of "Todd must be lucky to have this swing down so well...I'll bet he never frets over his posture/positions/ball flight, etc," and then to see that you are "tending the garden" with your swing too, is heartening and inspiring. There really is no end of the race with this but rather a thoughtful cultivation and improvement in ones search to obtain Moe-Vana. Thanks Todd good stuff.

I really enjoyed the more spontaneous nature of this video as you spoke your thoughts and process outloud, some great looking shots. Much appreciated.

Another great video, Todd. Have just tried it out with some practice swings (in my basement cuz it’s still raining out here) and I noticed one thing. Doing the bum bump seems to make it nearly impossible to slide into a reverse C - priceless! 👍🏻

THIS is exactly what I needed to see! After watching your videos about Moe’s swing, I quickly realized that I was standing too far upright. After some practice swings I started questioning myself on how far I should be leaning forward and sticking my ass out. This video answered that. Thank you! Curious to see if this will help prevent me from hitting my irons on the toe.

Great idea on the journal!! I've always kept a KZfaq playlist of videos that helped but after I heard you mention your journals, I started one today! Keeping it on my phone so it is always with me when needed. Thanks Todd!!

Hi Todd, Just wanted to thank you for your videos and this video reminded me of the best round I had in 2022 (77). I had issues with sliding my right hip and my I think it was throwing me off my swing plane, so that day on my set up I tried to pay more attention to keeping my lordosis which was kind of what you talked about in the video ( butt back). Then my swing thought was rotate/ rotate ( as if I was just rotating around my spine). Anyway, I was hitting beautiful shots almost in disbelief that this was happening. At the same time my mind became “relaxed “ knowing that “ something was working for me that day “. I know there are a lot of other factors going on in the swing, but that was the feeling I had that day. Since then I I’m back to shooting in the 90’s. I find that my intention is to concentrate on my set up ( part of as described above) but as the round goes on I get complacent thinking I’ve got it down, but I don’t, because I begin to fall into my old habits. Anyway, thanks for your video. Always learning! Jack Macner

Wasn’t going to comment as sometimes think comment to much; however; you are scaring me as I swear you r watching my range sessions; my last time (Thursday) was standing up so bad and major coming over top as was working on “side bend, rotation and hitting position; which obviously could not come close to getting correct due to I imagine this issue. As always thanks much again!!! Crazy how easy it is to get out of wack!!!

It looks like the butt back feeling is helping prevent excess up/down/back head movement too. I have the same swing feeling lately in my work with Trent, except my extension comes in the downswing. It keeps my butt back keeps me from dipping my head excessively, and also from extending the hips.

Is that Moe referred to as a sit on the toilet? and are your hips directly over your ankles? I also noticed a slight relaxed bend in the right leg which gives you more body turn in the backswing

Your bad is everyone else's good. Do you find if the forward tilt is right this takes care of itself? If the butt is not back there is a loss of balance?

Is the weight on your feet towards the balls of your feet or more towards the center? I find it difficult to keep my weight on the balls of my feet and keep my butt back at the same time.
