Thank you for this video. It helped me explain some things I was curious about. I have a Sony A7IV and was decision between the Portkeys and Atomos Ninja V. I want to have camera control on the monitor, but I don’t like having to to connect by wifi for that control. I’d rather have a reliable wired control. I tried the monitor+ app for my iPhone but quickly found I hated it Because it would sometimes lose signal when I needed it most. Hence why I want a wired connection. Since a wired connection with the Portkeys doesn’t give access to the camera controls, I might as well go with the Ninja V as my other thing I wanted was external recording to an SSD. That was secondary to touch focus and camera controls, but since I can’t get that over a wired connection, it only makes sense to lead toward the Ninja V. Now If you have any opinions on this, I’m very open to it. As you’ve been doing this Way longer than me and have knowledge I don’t have. I really enjoy your videos and advice and take it seriously. I also Love cats so I’m Always happy when I see your cats!!!!!!!!! Cats Rule. Ok, sorry for such a long comment.

Philip. Thanks for this. Excellent. Please do a video about mic wind protection. I research, find all the reviews, buy, then try out a new mic only to find that the wind shield is useless. Then spend even more time and frustration finding an effective dead rat etc. No reviews are ever done on the wind protection supplied with mics. Just got the Rode NTG Video mic to replace a Shure whose fixed protection is poor to find wonderful audio quality but I can't take it outside!

I have an fx3 and a Komodo and like to touch focus, but also getting anamorphic lenses for shorts + tilta wireless motor…

I am really curious how it is as a main 1st AC monitor. How does it compares for focusing like TV Logic and SmallHD. If I remember correctly one of the versions had some delay issues. Great video overview btw. Cheers

Loved to see how canon camera control works. Weird that it says it supports the c300 mkIII but not the c500 mkII. Also curious about the various monitor mounts you were using. Im still in doubt if I should be getting this version or the hdmi only version. Thanks for the great review

Camera parameters would be a very welcome feature on atomos products. Especially with Sony compatibility.

Very nice review, looks very similar to the LH5P except for the SDI and the slighter higher nits ( LH5P is 1700 nits).

I use that monitor in combination with my FX6. Unfortunately I can't get the colors of the screen calibrated nicely. Did you calibrated it ?

Great video! I've been considering the monitor for a while, and have been trying to figure out a solution to properly mount a nato rail (don't want to use port keys own monitor mounts and their locating pin system seem to be proprietary and not work with the arri standart) Have you figured out a way get two points of contact or use the slots for safety? i noticed that your longer rail was not on straight and thought you might have found a solution

when will they make 7 inch monitors? thats only reason i went for feelword monitor. At least my pocket6pro has tilting screen so using it for settings isn't that hard, i do use V mount battery in horizontal position for that reason tho

I just rented the BM5 III WR and I wasn't able to connect it wirelessly to my Sony FX3. I wonder is it because of the new 2.02 firmware on the FX3, or did I miss some setting. Anyone had a similar experience? Thanks for your work Philip!

Which interface/software you like the best for easy operating? I´m not as old as you, but also not the youngest.

I'd prefer 7" version for my BMPCC6k. It's much easier to pull focus. Other than that ... looks very nice, but pricey.
