So cool how many sticks are being made these days. Hopefully this keeps growing and growing so international options are more affordable for people in Europe. If you live in a non-FGC focused country do your best to look out for local business's who are trying to help the FGC like these stick makers and buy their products.

yeah i really have problems getting new parts for my panthera, or even good hitbox alternatives like mpress, since i live in germany. i have to import stuff from us it seems like and shipping costs are just painful. i'm looking for a good shop to order a tighter stick and spring, since the stick moving in neutral position annoys me too much, recently. also i noticed, i have more control over the stick, when i just remove the ball top, simply because it is more difficult to move the stick this way. but it is no fun to play like this at all. not even amazon has much to offer for me x.x

I am seriously considering this stick because of this review...I am only getting back into the scene now, just for fun...however the modularity and the possibility of using this for all of my consoles and the PC along with custom artwork makes it the leader in my mind. Thanks for this video, and all your videos really.

hey I have a couple questions, you say you can switch between up inputs but evo rules allow for multiple buttons having the same function as long as a single button doesn't peform multiple button presses or macros. So technically a controller with both the "w" and thumb button as up is generally legal at evo (not at capcom tournaments however) so does this controller have that option to have both be up simultaneously? different tournaments will have different rules and I personally have a custom built controller I've been using for a year with this layout as it was allowed at my locals but it is a much bulkier stick than the FRS I was thinking of maybe retiring it to have a more portable stick. Similarly evo only requires the controller to have an socd cleaner and my controller has a toggle button so that I can switch socd cleaner styles from L+R = Neutral to last input wins, does the FRS have an SOCD cleaner switch (similar to the later mixbox revisions)?

There was also this dude on an arcade stick making subreddit that made a deck that has both buttons and a detachable stick so he can easily switch between the two

I really like this controllers layout all other hit boxs look like a diff layout Really want to get into hitbox thinking about the razer kitsune cuz i dont like the whole if ps5 updates im at mercy of brooks for firmware. Any suggestions has to be ps5 compatible ? I love the the size and weight if my panthera want something similar i dont think id like something like the snack

08:02 to do DPs on that side i do: Left(Hold), Tap Right, tap and hold down with the SOCD set to neutral on left+right the game should read that like: 4,5,1 (or player 2 DP)

can both up on WASD and thumb space be used.. example if i play brawlhalla.? where we have up directions and have separate for jump.

This looks very interesting! If you had to choose between this, the snackbox micro, and the Mpress which would you choose? I for some reason didn't do my research before ordering the snackbox micro and didn't even know about the mpress (which I think I may have preferred, but now I'll never know, haha).

You’re buying at a really good time in that you can’t really go wrong and most of the options you’ll be happy with. They all have their individual strengths like size, ease of customization, button size, shape and placement etc.

Nihongo, try to get some Gazzew Boba U4 switches (silent tactile). These are amazing for fight sticks. Very quiet with amazing tactile feel. I love them in my MX buttons.

hitbox and other hitbox type of controllers are really good in fighting games for me except KOF 15. consistent hops and double half circle back moves are quite hard

Is there a controller that let me have arcade stick, mixbox and hitbox all in one? Letting me switch between them like the one in the video does, but the one in the videos doesn't have stick option

The only shame is that there's no option for actual stick and that the plexis need to be changed accordingly. I guess they could add spacer plates that you insert under both modular parts, which would raise them both to the same level, leaving enough room for the stick to fit inside. (In fact, I'm surprised they didn't do that already!) I'd also rather had them "modular" parts go one inside another with some sort of seam with no obligatory artwork/plexi on top, because it feels a little redundant to have plexis for each left+right part variant.

I'm really curious if you can slide over the left side buttons for easy super inputs for Guilty Gear Strive, since I know it's easily doable on Sanwa type buttons, but I have no idea about Cherry MX. Probably the color of the switches makes a difference so I would be mainly interested in Silver Cherry MX switches. Would be really glad if you could test it, even though you have Cherry MX Blue on the left. Also, thanks for the video, it was awesome!

Characters in most games are standing by default. To standing block you only need to press the backward direction

I don't know what kind of first person shooters YOU play, but I've yet to see one where up is jump. 🤣 Spacebar to jump with a thumb has always been the norm.

I wonder when they will start making these with hall effect optical switches. Which would make them even more responsive than mechanical switches since you could do cool things like adjustable actuation and even analog input when mimicking an analog stick. It'll require more engineering on their part over just buying a brook pcb and cutting out a box. Someone needs to do it though.

I would like to have a buttonbox/hitbox etc but they are just so expensive... for not knowing if i would like it or not. Because I don't even play fighting games that much, but thats also because i don't have an input device that i like. Keyboard just doesn't feels good for it and coontroller i suck with dpad inputs. So maybe a button box/hitbox would be better with the layouts and bigger buttons. But like i said, they are just so expensive.

I knew I wanted to transition to hitbox but didn't wanna buy one so i set the num pad to attack buttons, and asd and space as my movement buttons. And the transition was very smooth once I did buy a hitbox controller to go to locals.

I've just started playing fighting games had enough of FPS. Have all the fighting games you can think of but I've never used a hitbox I'd be so trash with it. Would be a waste

This is a decent design but I don't really think it's any more modular than something like an AFS case. If you have to take out 8 screws every time you change the layout, it's not exactly a quick swap. Cool controller regardless.

Why wouldn't it be allowed in tourneys tho? It's not like you're going to be cheating just for having an extra button that doesn't do anything illegal. Would the crossup be banned for having two directional input methods as well?

Cross up exists specifically to side step the rules. Cross up is tournament legal because of the loophole resulting from the DualShock 4 being allowed which, for whatever reason, allows both d-pad and analog control at the same time.

What a ripoff for a controller, on sendico you get this stuff way cheaper and you can buy pallets of stuff to sell ._. so you can get more sticks at a better price, then earn money on top of it

Not sure why they keep calling those arcade controllers. They are console controllers or keyboard controllers in a box. Fine for new generation stuff but they are just doing a great disservice to any arcade community or any arcade preservation efforts, which might be fine for many people but don't come back crying when they are gone
