On May 16, 2022, Converge played a surprise matinee show at Little Brother, a tiny coffee shop on Rainey Street, here in Austin. The place, inside and out, was about the size of a McDonald's bathroom. Hundreds of people showed up and everybody went fucking apeshit. Cave In, Expander, and Easy Prey opened with Nate Newton doing double duty on bass with both Converge and Cave In.

You know what's awesome? The shirt Jacob Bannon is wearing...A very small and short lived band called Embrace. Embrace has a song called building and CONVERGE's song For You off of Petitioning The Empty Sky you can hear the similarities in the sharp high notes in Building by Embrace and For You by CONVERGE. Awesome how we can see bands like Embrace eventually influence such a POWERFUL band like CONVERGE. I just got into CONVERGE this past year and would LOVE to see them live. Please Converge play in Austin again...

I've seen them 12 or more times but could you imagine driving down the street in Austin and seen that gnarly ass show if you weren't in to hardcore? He would think that those kids were rioting.

It’s easily my favorite part of the song. It’s so sick. Even if you’re not listening to it live you can feel the energy from the song like they’re playing right in front of you.

I randomly clicked from a freaking nostalgiac video of your live (pretty rare on youtube btw here's the link : kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gpiKa7F_m5fegas.html) show of Paris in 2002 at le club Dunois in France, in tears because that's my first ever metal concert, to see that video of you still performing that awesome song in 2022 and people are still without phone juste mosh piting and crowdsurfing instantly...I guess 20 years or so later, a great band like yours remains and is still stuck to its roots, playing Hardcore because you like it ! and people still reacts the same way I just love it !! I just wanna say thank you ! Love you till "Concubine" (first song I ever eard), saw you many times in France, hope to see you again soon ! With love !!

It was a free surprise show. They played to a big crowd the night before. I think it was cool as fuck that they showed up with Cave In and played it.

Most of the people standing across the street were just passing by and stopped to see what was going on. Most weren't even applauding the bands. And present day mosh pits suck.
