My husband Drew is so good at talking to mormons like this. And all religions really. It never ceases to amaze me how the Mormon training makes the missionaries sound like stepford robots.

Yes!! Great Job. I’d love to see more of this. I need to learn more myself so I can go out there and do it. I’m really new to Christ. I was raised Mormon and know all about them and their beliefs. And it really is a language barrier. You have to fully convert a Mormon to Mormonism to be able to convert them to Christ.

Beautiful! I'm so encouraged to see the gospel being lovingly preached to the Mormons! The Lord used Apologia church to call me to love and outreach to my Mormon friends as well and I have had multiple really in-depth and encouraging conversations with Mormon missionaries over the past couple years as well! God bless you and your ministry in Jesus name!

The Pearl of Great Price (Book of Abraham chapter 4) makes it clear Mormons believe in many Gods. That flies in the face of the Jewish and Christian concept of God which is One.

Hi, Apologia. I think it is so disrespectful to go out and speak to these sister missionaries like that on such sacred grounds, only to make false concerns that you cover up as "open discussions" but with hidden motives. I served my mission in this place and have met many of you, taking up lessons only to attack our beliefs. You may intend to enlighten, but you only pass on your own confusion to others. If you want to make a difference in each of our lives, teach us how to have peace in this life through Christ. I have been home for 5 years now and never remember anything people say that question things like this. Our life is short to have the wrong set of questions. We believe in teachings that give us hope and peace in life. From there, we move forward. You are talking about an imperfect Joseph Smith because he really is imperfect, a human being bound to make mistakes. We don't have to know every single detail about him. It is not Joseph that we glorify. Our message is to testify of Christ and other people are instruments but they should not be placed the same importance as Christ, who is the real message here. Let them have their own questions in their own timing and journey, because we all will. But right now, if what we already know is enough to keep us going, I think we have the right to be respected. If you really belong to the right organization that you think is better, enough to go out and treat these sisters like that, then maybe that really is the fruit of your organization. I do hope that your method of seeking Christ through deceiving others like this really brings you hope and peace and that your questions get answered in this short lifetime. The issue, "If you are in the right church then you should not be afraid of people asking questions" is true. These sister missionaries did not intend to talk to you with hopes to change and convert you. We volunteered to serve and love others, hopefully you can do the same and show it obviously. I come in peace and these are just my thoughts

Then, after you read the Scriptures for yourself you find that salvation has nothing to do with conversion to religion, but being transformed into the image of Christ, which makes this whole discussion moot.

Jews claim they believe in Jesus. But do they believe him to be God and our savior? No. So it’s a different Christ they believe. Muslims also claim to believe in Jesus but they don’t believe he is God and our way to salvation. So they don’t believe in the same Jesus. They all use the same name but have different beliefs about him. Those false Jesus can not save. Mormon prophets have taught Jesus is our spirit brother along with Satan. They strip Jesus of his Godliness and what he did on the cross. They also have a false Jesus who can not save. I’m convinced that Mormonism main sins are idolatry, self righteousness, arrogance and blasphemy. I pray for them and love them and they are so close to being brothers and sisters in Christ but at the same time they are so far away. I believe it’s easier to convert an Atheist to Christianity than it is a Mormon because they believe they are the highest form of Christianity when in reality they are not even Christian.

So sad, but very true. It is heartbreaking. And so many LDS when they finally leave , are actually becoming atheists because of among other things, Joseph Smith’s indoctrination that the Bible has been corrupted.

here is the "ironic" thing. apologetics studio are calvinists. calvinists believe god created all things, and controls all things, predetermined all things, and made all things exactly the way they are. ... thus god also created evil. therefore since calvinists believe god created evil. they are blaspheming against the holy spirit ... the only unforgivable sin. calvinists also believe the only people who will be saved have been predetermined by god. (of course ... they smugly think they are among the "chosen" to be saved without a shred of evidence) and since calvinists believe god predetermined who will be saved ... they have removed free will - the gift of god to humans, and removed jesus from the equation. since god (according to calvinists) has already determined who will be saved ... (and who will not be saved) ... those who will be saved do not need christ and those who will not be saved cannot come to christ. thus calvinists are not christians. in fact ... calvinists are exactly like muslims in their thought process. mormons do not believe god created evil. mormons believe god gave every human free will. mormons believe everyone can be saved, because god sent jesus to take the sins of every human upon himself. and therefor all humans who accepts christ's sacrifice can be saved. mormons are more christian than calvinists.

I think the intention was genuine by y’all Christian, but I think you kind of intimidated them a bit. I mean these gals are like 20 and y’all are like tall muscular men. I would be a bit intimidated. I think the question were good. But I would have approached it differently. See LDS people have this persecution complex where they really believe no one really understands why pat the believe. Even if what you are saying is correct. Try starting out asking them questions like ‘why do you believe the BOM is true?’ And ‘what made you want to serve a mission?’ This means the excited and at ease and less like you are trying to attack them. They won’t admit this to you but on some level they KNOW that y’all know the Bible better than them (the have three other official revelations they spend more time on). Then I would be a bit more gentle like, ‘I thought I read that the LDS church teaches X,is that true?’ Even if you know it is,it makes them for more at ease. If you start off too strong you’ll scare them off and feed their persecution complex. Then you can get into the scripture and ask them what they think. Try making it more often dialogue rather then telling them what they believe. Even if you know it’s what their church teaches always phrase it as a question. Then you can go in with the scripture. A good question I like to ask is, who do you worship? If they say Heavenly Father, I ask them what they think about Jesus being worshipped in the Bible. If they then say they worship both I ask them about Luke 4:8 where Jesus says to worship the Father alone, and also bring of D and C 130:22 and say if you worship both and they are separate beings United in purpose is that not worshipping two Gods?ALWAYS ASK THEM. I have literally had multiple missionaries going in circles over these questions say one they worship Heavenly Father only then both then back to Heavenly Father. If they are honest, they don’t know.

Trying for your gacha moments with your misinterpretation out of cultural context of the protestant favorite verses. Time and people is a context. Test your claims against scripture Romans 8: 14-18 and Revelation 3: 21. You don’t have claim to be the elect, but that is what your actions proclaim. When you preach your final authority is your personal philosophy or opinion, the philosophies of men.

These misguided men have no real spiritual foundation (Ephesians 2: 19,20 "Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;" ) so.. Just saying. Using their own false wisdom of man. Exactly like Jesus Christ, we're ALL God's kids. We Christians of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints do believe Jesus Christ IS indeed the God of Israel, the whole earth, Jehovah, and the great I AM of the old testament. I understand where ANY frustrated believer is coming from with the pretty cut and dry, biblical scriptures saying no God before me or after. I know not any. Yet, this same savior and God is completed subservient and absolutely not one and the same to Heavenly Father. A Father who is clearly a GOD. In these scriptures, pre-earth life Jesus Christ was getting people from worshipping other false Gods. There are plenty other scriptures that back up us being able to be just like God as Jesus Christ did. Jesus Christ still does want us to be just like Him, God the Son, so yes we sure can be like a very godlike people. We're doing it right now by choosing right from wrong, being God's spirit offspring, and with our imaginations where we behave so much like gods. Thank God almighty I know the book of mormon IS true and so everything else, especially Doctrine and Covenants, and the prophet Joseph Smith, HAS to come with it. Done deal. Especially with this pretty cut and dry scripture in Romans 8: 16,17 "The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together." So again, yes we sure can be like our Heavenly Parents 👑 💛 👑
