Asia’s art markets are established and emergent, with local ecosystems growing markets at home while developing regional and global connections abroad. How are these transnational dynamics, which are likewise reflected in the growing presence of Asian collectors in the global art market, affecting arts ecosystems across the region? 
Clare McAndrew is a cultural economist who specializes in the arts, antiques and collectibles markets. She completed her PhD in economics at Trinity College Dublin in 2001, where she also lectured and taught economics for four years. In 2002, Clare joined US firm Kusin & Company, a boutique investment banking firm specializing in art investment, as chief economist. After three years in the United States, Clare returned to Europe in 2005, and continued her work in the art market in a private research and consulting capacity for a global client base. She set up Arts Economics in 2005 to focus her efforts on art market research and analysis, and works with a network of private consultants and academic scholars in different regions around the world providing research and consulting services to the global art trade and financial sector.
Xiaoming Zhang is an eminent authority in the Asian art market, acclaimed for her curatorial contributions at the Guggenheim Museum, notably in the "China: 5,000 Years" exhibition. Her tenure at Sotheby's as VP and Head of Asian Modern Contemporary Art culminated in unprecedented sales achievements worldwide. An avid art educator, she imparts her extensive knowledge at world's leading universities and provides insights on global art market advisory such at Harvard University, Tsinghua University etc. Zhang's educational credentials - an MA from New York University (NYU) Tisch, an MBA from NYU-Stern and a Helena Rubinstein Curatorial Fellow at Whitney Museum of American Art ISP- complement her professional acumen. As the founder of W.Ming and a researcher advisor at Northwestern University and scholar at Nanjing Normal University, she remains an advocate of global art.
Adrian Zuercher is Co-Head Global Asset Allocation and Co-Head Global Investment Management APAC at UBS Chief Investment office. In his Global Asset Allocation role, he is responsible for multi-asset portfolio solutions. He co-chairs the tactical investment forum, the global portfolio construction meeting, and is a member of the global investment committee, which defines the UBS CIO house-view. In his Global IM APAC capacity, he is responsible for investment fund selection, portfolio management, and product development. Adrian oversees regional discretionary and advisory mandates, investment and alternatives funds, sustainable investing, and the wealth planning offering.
Margaret Wang is a managing partner at Recharge Capital where she invests in and builds value-chain aligned businesses along the firm's key themes of women's healthcare, synthetic biology, fintech, and semiconductor enablement. In this capacity she also serves as CEO of Rhea, an ecosystem-first, modern reproductive health company incubated by Recharge Capital. Previously, Margaret was Head of Bridgewater Associates Singapore. An avid supporter of the arts across regions, Margaret serves on the board of Creative Time - a New York-based arts non-profit that commissions and presents socially engaged art in the public realm - as well as on Tate’s Asia Pacific Acquisition Committee, the Guggenheim Museum's Asia Circle, and the Delfina Foundation’s Global Council.
