Part 9 of the K24a Swap into a 1995 Honda Civic Coupe. In this video I install the conversion harness from hybrid racing. Before the installation I removed all the existing engine harness wires that will no longer be used.

i actually did what you did. i pulled everything through the firewall under the dash, ran it back out through the fender. deleted my ABS pump and wires. when i finally get around to doing my Kpro and new wiring harness im gonna take the dash out. thatll make it waaay easier i think.

I have never pulled the dash in my car. Apparently its pretty easy to unbolt in these Honda's though. Only hard part is undoing all the electrical connectors. Must be nice having all the ABS complexity out of the car. Good luck with everything!

@@e-dod yeah it was a pretty straight forward delete. Just had to get a non ABS prop valve and valex racing had a delete kit with the lines you need. As far as the dash goes, I think taking it out is going to be the only way I'm gonna be able to get it the way I want it. I'm doing a heater core delete to run my shifter cables through the firewall.

@@TommyG_0311 Nice! Shifter cables through the firewall is a great setup. Unfortunately I ended up keeping my heat for now so had to run them under the car. Aren't the valex lines braided stainless instead of hardlines? Any issues with brake pedal not as stiff with those? I have read conflicting opinions on line so I ended up doing custom hardlines instead of the valex kit.

@@e-dod yes they're braided steel lines. I had thought about doing a brake like tuck like doing bulkhead fittings and running hardliners but the braided steel likes were so much easier to work with. As far as I can tell I don't have any issues with the brakes. The brake pedal is a bit softer but there really isn't any give when it comes the distance between the pedal and the floor.

Have same chassis and same conversion harness. Built my car for 13 months. Not getting power to ecu. Do you have any clue how the ecu gets power from this particular conversion harness, or where it gets power to the ecu in general. I’m stumped. Thanks

Hi, the ECU gets power from one of the pins on the C101 connector. The power itself comes from the main relay/PGM-FI system. So if you're not getting power to the ECU you might want to also try changing the main relay or checking your grounds. Here is a pinout of the C101 plug: edodsgarage.com/img/articles/c101-pinout.gif This pinout is for the factory 02-04 RSX C101 plug so your conversion harness probably doesn't have all of these. But check the ones that are labeled PGM-FI System. Pin 10, 15, 19. Pin 19 sounds like the main power source though since that is the red wire.

Hey where you able to narrow down how to get the fan working with the swap what wiring Ended up working for you?
@e-dod
@e-dod 2 жыл бұрын
I ended up not having to do anything to get the fan working. I am not sure how it works but I did not manually hook up any fan related wires or the fan switch wire. There must be something in the C101 plug that connects the ECU to a fan wire in the chassis harness.

Could have went with the plug and play harness, probably would have been war easier

This harness is pretty much plug and play. You only have like 4 wires to splice in, which is unavoidable. I made this much harder then it needed to be by removing ALL of the unused OEM engine harness wires. You don't have to remove them, you can just stuff them under the dash and save a few hours of work.
