Please just buy a used Grip damper takeout from Marketplace for 30-50 dollars instead.

Interesting experiment. I would be keen to learn more about Rockshox cross compatibility, minor updates to airsprings are particularly confusing.

I'm really bummed you cleaned it really well I was expecting sharp burrs to poke from the inside 😂 Seriously if you already have all the ish. Why not...

And what about the edges of the new hole on the inside of the damper? Did you sanded it somehow? Can't recall from the top of my head if the piston moves over the bleeding hole (except during assembly). If not, then this might actually work. Otherwise there will be friction and damage to the piston seals. And... how does it ride?

Will the Grip2 damper topcap assy fit/work fit in a Grip damper? I know you will miss the hsr but besides that should I be ok? My question is becourse my lsb says it won't work :-)

Those burrs on the outside of that hole are nasty.. 2sec to fix that mess.
