I owned several dvo jade dh shocks on different bikes. Works quite well... for a few rides only. Afterwards, they must be bleed as they suck air in. Full service and rebuild does not help. Had to replace both of them. For coil shocks, IFP or bladder does not make any difference in term of performance. Note: im a over 100kg kitted riding very aggressivly. If you are lighter then may be you would have more luck with their bladders.

I've been considering the RC2T. I weigh 200 pounds, 93kg. I didn't think the sensitivity of a coil mattered. Mainly considering the RC2T because of the bottom out resistance. But I don't really much drops. The largest usually are slightly over handlebar height and that's pretty rare. So I definitely would value sensitivity over possibly better bottom out resistance.

rockshox continually delivers half baked products. I swapped most of their stuff to manutou a few years ago and have never looked back tbh. I still have bikes with RS on them but I am not a customer any more, just a former customer. I don't think RS makes bad products. Most can be fixed with some mods, but out of the box they are often either wierdly tuned or have some flaw that must be fixed for the suspension to work best. I have this exact shock also with springdex and I didn't find it particular great. I don't think Fox is great either though :)

Yoke bikes have too much flex and so much so Fox have went steal body on there coils instead of alloy, I found 2019 I went through 5 shocks Fox DHX2 coil factory, as they kept leaking from the top eyelet and the shock shaft was bending and then leaking from the seal head. So much so on the Specialized they dropped the coil and give the air shock fitment only. Fox give me a Fox X2 air factory and it was nearly there but for aeration of the oil but they changed the internals as a update so the seal heads piston etc was revised to the new 2024/25 mods and it's been great so far.

I will say this test was a bad one. You should never use more then 2 rounds with preload. The initial force that you need to move the coil spring is then altered. The fact that you need a progressive spring, a lot preload and tons of HSC shows that it is not a fit for the Kenevo frame kinematic. At least in original tune.
@OtterMTBtechКүн бұрын
Your right it’s not a good fit for my bike, and being in the heavy weight class, makes things challenging Over preload is better than under springed

@@OtterMTBtech For example; Materials, Actual design differences, any actual information beside word BOUJI and then saying that Sram is actually better cuz they have the sag measurement on the actual suspension. i really ment it constructively since i wish to understand more about suspension and thought we were gonna hear a point or two on real world differences. The fact is that is VERY VERY unlikely that if you have the biggest and most high end factories and suppliers. The most financial access, it remains VERY unlikely that somehow Manitou will make a incredibly better suspension. And again if it is, we could get to hear why and would make for amazing content

Seems that I can't bring them to the ride quality of my other Enduro bike (Rockshox Zeb Ultimate Charger 3 (170mm) with coil shock at the rear). I have even rent two Shockwiz to help me to set them up, but I still have a feeling of harshness. I'm starting to think to switch them since I mostly use the Levo now. I'm beginning to think that the fight is uneven between both forks. I know I'm not giving you much data, but I would still like to know your opinion or direction to help me out.

Listen up, I am working on a new setup guide, make sure there is 2 tokens in the fork, about 120 psi, they also loose air in 2 weeks so except it to go flat to 100 psi in that time, go full fast rebound and full on compression low and high thank me later 🤙 skip shock wiz it does not work good on forks The rebound is the harnesses not the compression. i actually wanted that camera lol, it has a wide angle lens at least. but my country imported and sold the rip-off ones here and flooded with those bullshits on the marketplace which you'll say that its much much worse than that. i mean it claims that it can record in 4K, but actually it is at 1920x1080 30FPS the video quality is just 480p upscaled on both 720P@30FPS/1080P@30FPS resolutions and it lags horribly (like 10FPS) on both resolutions. except for VGA 640x480@30FPS which is more like 144p. they don't have the ability to do time lapse or slow motion, nor wide angle lens which will end up in the garbage of course

Mezzer is good even without the dual air system. I have a Pro and 2 Experts. I prefer the latter. It's slightly more sensitive off the top because of the larger positive chamber that requires less pressure to give proper sag. And the damper is easier to tweak without any noticeable performance reduction. 90% of the time I only use 2 positions and switch between them based on terrain: jump lines or trashed descents. A lockout is very handy on XC trails. I also have a Fox 38F , 3x Fox36F, and a Yari with RC2.1. Mezzer Expert over all of them, no questions. Mezzer Pro does work quite well on my eMTB. IRT allows me to have enough support for the 60lb bike without suffering from small bump harshness. Yes, it loses travel when stored in the cold, as the seals shrink. Very annoying. Reverse arch doesn't create a pocket of dust between it and the stanchion like you get on a forward arch - you can't get in there and wipe it. And it's lighter. Literally, all benefits.
