Converting The Lima Bogies Part 1...High Speed Trains Project

Creating a small jig to accurately cut and re-gauge the Lima/Hornby bogies to standard H0 size. This will allow the trains to sit lower on the track when re-fitted and look more prototypical. This will be done for both the conversion HST and the ETR 500 including all the passenger cars.
In this video I show cutting and welding one side of the bogie...both sides are done to complete the process.

Nice jig you made there. The truck side frames do weld to the bolster quite well Tom. Soon on the the paint shop. Looking good 👍👍👍😎😎😎

Thanks as always :) Yes, it's a good, quick way to hold them together without trying to glue them. I'm cutting some plastic layers to reinforce them before moving on to the paint job. Thanks again and all the best :)

Thanks again Fred :) Hornby/Lima have thrown me a few curve balls on this one but I'm very much enjoying getting my teeth into this challenge. All the best....Tom
