Abso-fuckin-lately! The wheel & tire combo sets it off and makes what would be a plain-Jane ‘64 1/2 Stang (like mine!, no offense). I think dude hit the nail right on the head! I’m jealous. Hey OP, what are the wheel/tire exact specs? I double dog dare/promise you I won’t copy you exactly on my Mustang. Pinky promise.

I used to bleed brakes that way, but I spent the 100 bucks on a motive bleeder kit and never looked back. Totally worth it seeing that it forces the fluid through the master cylinder reservoirs. Also, manual brakes are the way to go for any kind of car honestly. I daily my nova with them and it doesn't bother me for a second.

Going manual master my self…nice to see your impressions. The reason you could still get bubbles using the vacuum pump is they suck air around the threads of the bleed nipples…..you need to put some grease on the bleed nipple threads and then screw them back in before bleeding….that seals the threads.

Wow. I’ve had stainless steel brake company disc brakes with a power booster kit for the past 8 years and always thought the brakes were soft and slow to stop. I was about to replace them all with Wilwood brakes on all fours when a local shop suggested that I start first with just a Wilwood manual MC. Suggested the 15/16” bore and it made a huge difference! Enough that now I can stop and screech when I stop hard. Still not stopping like a new modern car but good enough for now. Maybe next will be the upgrade to Wilwood discs. Even though I went from power booster to manual, the assistance is hardly missed and totally unnecessary. Wish I knew what you did in this video years ago. Keep up the great video production and content!

My 67 Mustang only had 11-12 inches of vacuum but it was enough for the brake booster. Call me old but.............www.summitracing.com/search/part-type/vacuum-pumps-street Also: Q: Besides the Manual Brake Conversion Kit to mount the master cylinder, is there anything else I should do to my brake system when I convert to manual brakes? A: Yes. You should improve the rest of your brake system as much as your circumstances allow. Without power-assist, everything else in the brake system needs to work as well as possible. Among the things to consider: High performance brake pads, matched to how you use your car, should be installed. A street-driven Mustang needs pads with a high coefficient of friction when cold. Road-raced Mustangs need friction material suited for the temperatures encountered on the track. Any axle endplay will contribute to increased rear pad knockback. That will cause an intermittent low pedal that is much more noticeable with manual brakes than with power brakes. The stock Traction-Lock differential should have the clutches shimmed tightly to minimize axle endplay. Stainless steel braided brake hoses will reduce hose expansion, and provide a firmer pedal feel. The soft pedal feel from hose expansion is more noticeable with manual brakes than with power brakes. Swapping to larger front discs will greatly improve the stopping ability. For example, swapping GT rotors to larger diameter 13" Cobra-sized front brake rotors will provide a significant reduction in stopping distance. An adjustable brake-proportioning valve will allow adjusting the rear brake pressure for the best front to rear bias on your particular Mustang. Properly sizing the front and rear rotors, as well as the front and rear caliper piston areas, to be close to a front/rear bias of 70%/30% will provide the best braking performance. In the end, braking ability is determined by tire grip. Sticky tires have more grip, and will provide more stopping ability. Optimize your combination. For example, a drag race car with big sticky rear tires and skinnies up front will need a brake system with a rear brake bias much higher than 30%. Designing the brake system to have more rear bias will avoid prematurely locking the skinny front tires, and take advantage of the greater amount of rear grip. Choose a master cylinder size that properly matches up to the front and rear brakes on your Mustang.
