Thanks for your reply, depends on how much you like walking? you could do the castle of North Wales (maybe only a few or important ones, but there are a lot and that's without South Wales? they are very busy in the summer even if they are not that accessable, England has got a Nice lot of Castles too. Then you could do the Walled city's York, Chester(done already) etc. there are lots of history there, have you thought about looking at Bridges in the UK, there are a lot of interesting and famous Bridges that draw the tourist (small and big). Have you thought about a road route say 30/40 miles and pick out interesting places on route? what about Popular beeches and their surrounding interesting places for the tourist?

Wow! You certainly gave me a lot to think about. York is definitely in the plans for this summer (perhaps a tour of cities with town criers.) Are you in the game yourself?

Glad you liked them, no, but been to loads of places here in UK, and it is easy to observe how people like their country so much every where there are very interesting places to see or learn about, it is very easy to overlook things, because history is everywhere here! and all over people appreciate the things that people like you, do very well, tell people about what they are looking at! like I said its everywhere. let me know thoughts, and see if I can help.

Snowdon is 3rd highest in UK by prominence, 19th highest in height. Prominence is an important measure as it gives sense how sheer it rises from the landscape around it. Ben Nevis is, unsurprisingly, highest in both measures.

Klarnet, We used a Canon Vixia HF R700 camera to shoot this. My camera man was a friend of mine, and he did not use a tripod. He used a handheld stick to hold it. I wore a lapel mic wired directly to the camera. Cheers, Rich

Hey Mick, yeah something in the back of my mind too from when I was a kid the was the smallest house in Yorkshire , Whitby maybe , however , being from the North West originally we all all knew about Conwy . Thanks for the feedback , cheers , Rich .

I was 12 / 13 we where camping in pensarn / abergele remember the teacher saying this is the smallest house in wales I'm sure we where on a bend in he road and it was in2 the rock face it seemed as 2 have been on the way 2 Snowdon cos that's the only place we went 2 out of camp / I'm sure there was another story about a small dewelling and a dog ,ring a bell with u , lol

Mick, Well, the house in Conwy has stolen the march. They've gotten themselves in the Guinness Book of World Records so the are considered the World's Smallest House. But, I suspect, just as every town in Britain has the oldest pub, there are probably other houses who are also claiming the title. Now, to your inquiry. Your story does ring a bell. It reminds me of The Legend of Beddgelert- www.beddgelerttourism.com/gelert/. The mention of the dog really is what made me wonder. The dog's grave even has what appears to be a little house on it. Man, what a great story. I wouldn't be surprised if you remembered this one all these years! Your story also reminded me a bit of The Ugly House,Ty Hyll, at Betwys-Y-Coed. Your description of a house "in the rock face "in the bend of the road" made me wonder if you were thinking of this house as well. This house is made of "boulders" so it looks like a rock face and is located in a bend of the road. www.theuglyhouse.co.uk/ On your school trip, I suspect you would have traveled the old A5, the original coaching route to Holyhead, which would have taken you past both these places. Although my last name is Jones, I'll admit my command of the Welsh language is nonexistent since I grew up several miles up the coast. We always had days out to Rhyl and Prestatyn and Llandudno (which most of us pronounced it with a U). Thank you for the correction. I like learning new things.

I just order lapel mics from Amazon. I bought them in bulk. I twist the cord quite a bit, so I wanted to have extras.

Klarnet, I enjoyed your tour very much. Sadly my Turkish is shaky at best, but I enjoyed your videography and professional demeanor and voice.

@@TourGuidesTravelGuides to be fair its Conwy Bay and Snowdon is only highest point Wales and England. SCOTLAND Has the higher peaks. But as i said entertaining so well done.
