I’ve figured out why your channel is so satisfying. You never put music in the background so it is almost like ASMR. You don’t over edit so it feels like we are there with you. We can experience the adventure but in a comfortable and safe home environment. I’m honestly addicted and angered I didn’t find this channel sooner

Your cast iron is rusting because you aren’t oiling it. It will break if you don’t oil it. Just grab some steel wool, soap to remove rust, then vegetable oil that baby up and she’ll be purring again.

@Stop The 🧢 general rule: for every 1 inch of steak, cook 4 minutes side one then 3 minutes on the second side.....med-high heat.....let the pan smoke before putting the steak in and when done let the steak rest for 5 minutes before cutting.

You need to season your cast iron, it’s rusting. When you wash your cast iron skillet don’t use soap, it strips it, and causes rusting. Another tip, after washing it put it back on the heat so no water residue is left. That will extend the life

Good advice for anyone. My cast iron skillet is a hand-me-down from my parents. It has to be at least 7O years old cause my Nana had it first.

You can use soap. Won't hurt it. Just make sure to wash then dry on stove top for a min or so. Add a little oil periodically when drying your pan after cleaning to reseason

@@theresa6613 Using soap, steel wool, or other abrasives is not the end of the world, but you may need to re-season the skillet. If the skillet is well-seasoned from years of use, a small amount of mild soap may be used without doing much damage - just be sure to rinse it well and oil it after drying.

Tip # 1 don't over crowd the oil with Fries won't cook right. #2 always keep that cast-iron pan oiled when storing it away . #3 Have everything prepped before you start cooking. #4 Make sure steak fits pan . #5 Crush the garlic & use olive oil & butter together so butter don't burn along with herb. @Henry Su Miyuzaki A5 Wagyu is almost $100 a pound. Not many people are going to be able to stomach an actual pound of A5 Wagyu. A3 is smilies grade to Australian Wagyu(which to me is the best grade).

@Henry Su And I worked as a meat cutter(teamster union) and we would get that exact miyuzaki Wagyu during Christmas, New Years, & July 4th as a special order. This dude probably killed his toilet after eating a pound of that A5...

Mav, if you lightly coat and heat for three minutes after you have cooked in your cast-iron skillet then it will not rust. It will also be ready to use. Did you know that a properly “seasoned” skillet was the first non-stick pan?
