Күн бұрынAfter decades of making pie crust, I finally started using a food processor to make the processor easier. Oh, my, this is so much easier and the crust is just perfect. I will use this method from now on.

I was wondering if i can substitute vegetable shortening for lard in this recipe.

yes you can. I used Crisco for years.

could I use all butter if I'm out of lard?

You can. it give you a little different texture. You can also substitute solid vegetable shortening like Crisco if you use it.
