Temperature variations will affect the pressure within the bottle. Start by soaking your alcohol bottle in a warm water bath. After you fill your potion bottle with warm alcohol, dye, and mica powder, cork it and as the liquid cools, it will decrease in size causing a vacuum effect on the cork, sealing it tighter.

Alcohol is not explosive. Flammable, yes. But it will not combust on its own. So it's not a "super explosive bomb".
@DynastyUK
@DynastyUK 2 жыл бұрын
@@Black-Swan-007 Okay, maybe not a bomb but what you have is an even more flamable version of a Molotov Cocktail. It seems common sense NOT to put a flame anywhere near Isopropyl alcohol or it's fumes. not can't combust on it's own, that's the point, it's in a pressured bottle with oxygen and now fire. "Isopropyl alcohol is highly flammable and can easily ignite. Vapors may form explosive mixtures with air, traveling to a source of ignition and flash back, and use of water spray to fight fires may be inefficient" "Isopropyl Alcohol can react with AIR and OXYGEN over time to form unstable peroxides that can explode."

Hi Andrea! I have a few questions about doing the potions. I have bought some bottles for doing them and I realized that they all have cork stoppers. 1. Is that ok or will it need to be rubber stoppers, especially with the liquids? 2. If I do need to get the rubber stoppers, do you know, is there a universal size of the stoppers? 3. Where would I even go to buy the stoppers for the jars?

You can use the real corks but you may find that you get more evaporation with them and if possible you’ll want to try to cover them completely with either hot glue drips or wax strips some thing like that. For the liquid potions the rubber corks work really well and you can get an assorted bag on Amazon there is a link in the description of this video which will give you corks that fits pretty much every bottle.
