At first sight, I fell in love with that Mercury (1st car).

Old style wagons are nice to look at cuz my neighbors drove them in the early '60's when I grew up. Obviously there were no SUV's, and passenger vans were not really a thing. Most of the time, vans, panel trucks, & even pick-up trucks in the late '50's early '60's were used by businesses to haul and tow things because they were cheap, basic vehicles. Even Ambulances were built out of cars, not vans or trucks like they are today (So EMT's don't have to crawl on their hands & knees!) People didn't use them as daily drivers cuz cars were plentiful with more creature comforts.When I look at a beautiful car like that Mercury Monterey now I get chills thinking, if ya break a tail light, (for example), where ya gonna find a replacement for it?

The wood grain on the Buick is what does it for me. It gives these big old barges that Family Truckster vibe. Cue Chevy Chase Cristy Brinkley montage. At one time I owned a 1964 Chevy Bel Aire wagon. 327 P/S, P/B factory air. Great concert car, always looked like a Cheech and Chong movie though.

I love that '67 Caprice wagon! I owned a '67 Impala 4 door hardtop years ago and that was one helluva cool car.Also had a '69 Kingswood wagon. Wrecked them both,lol.

That 67 is so lucky to still be a wagon. Most would try take that front end. The 59 is definitely my favorite as well.

My Pops drove a '74 Pinto wagon for nearly 25 years.. My brother and I were embarrassed as hell to be dropped off at school in it. My brother pulled it out of the garage and found a t-boned 87 t Bird turbocoupe and gave a nice copper paint job. Yes, it's a Pinto, but it's an absolute blast to drive.

Absolutely love this collection of wagons especially the ‘94 Caprice 7:21 such a sleek and cool looking car. Growing up here in Australia in the ‘60s and ‘70s we often travelled and for a large part of that time we had a VE Valiant Regal Safari wagon with a slant six. Think it’s a real shame we’ve moved away from wagons to SUVs. Great collection all round thanks so much for sharing.

Road a lot of miles in my grandma's 67 ford wagon looking out the back window. I have a 68 mercury montego station wagon with a 363 lots of 👍 thumbs up especially when the white stuff comes off the rear tires

The 67 Caprice.👍 Hands down worth it. Even with the little bit of rust. Might ask for a little better price because of it. But it's an easy fix. Had a 68 Impala Wagon back in the day. Sorry I ever sold it.

1958 is my favorite year of car design, at least of that era. A neighbor had a red '58 Edsel wagon, with a white roof and white steel wheels. He traded it for a dark green '58 Chevy sedan. I'd absolutely love to have either. Loving that Pontiac, but the rust worries me. Try to find patch panels... yikes.

I'm a wagon guy, i like to take road trips and sleep in my car so wagons are the perfect hauler in my eyes. As far as prices ya know anyone over 30 years old is going to think prices are crazy because we have been alive long enough to remember when stuff was cheaper, and that gets more extreme with age. My man the only thing i buy that has been the same price my entire 42 years on earth are Hot Wheels. lol I really liked that $45,000 black wagon, but i'll never pay 45k for a car in my life, i don't want anything that bad.

Yup, I agree with you about the 58 Pontiac safari. The 59 Chevrolet is very sweet too . However, I'm also am on a lower budget.

Liked the 1971 Chevy estate. My mother had one, paid 1500 USD for it. Which was the price for the A/C in the original price sticker.

I think the 63 is a bit much on asking. The 92 Olds is to much on asking, maybe half that to start. The 71 is flat out to much on asking. Don't care for the hood on the 92 but the asking is a good starting point. The Roadmaster is a great starting point. That 67 is super cool and 9.5K is not bad to start cash on hand negotiations. 94 at 45K asking, I just don't care. 59s are cool really cool but give me a break. So he put over 300K in it, was someone twisting his arms or nuts? At that asking, I really, REALLY DON'T CARE! Another great video sir! Have a good evening.

The '67 wagon is actually a little low on the price, cause the four door car version is getting $20,000-$25,000, and the wagon could get $15,000 in that condition, so someone needs to pick that one up quick before the owner does the extra research and jacks up the price. The '92 black wagon needs to have the price cut in half though, because I don't care how nice it is, it's a '90's wagon that doesn't have a newer power train, so even if it's rebuilt, it's not as much of a cruiser as it could be. The x frame '59 is going to have issues if any real power is put through the frame, because it's called an x frame for a reason. That's the literal shape of it, and where the x joins, that's a failure prone area. It would take about $30,000 to put a custom frame in, and modify the floor pan, and brace everything up again, so if they are hitting 6 figures for selling price, I don't know that it's worth that with the frame being original like that.

I don’t like when you say, “What do you think about this one and the price?” Granted sometimes the price is higher than what may be the general desirability of the vehicle. But these vehicles are all unique and one of a kind. If restored, the expense of the restoration will EXCEED what may be the perceived value of the vehicle, and it boils down to that owners love of that model, which may not align with many other’s viewpoints. Or the vehicle may not have anything done to it other than being well cared for during its lifetime and it would cost significantly more to duplicate in a car of lesser condition. Some of these vehicles would have been crushed years ago and lost to history if someone had not invested a lot of money in them when they were not worth it. I think a better question would be, “Is this a desirable car, would you buy it, or did somebody drink too many Naty Lights with their tin foil hat on while eating paste and sticking crayons up their nose?”

EYE have yet to see a wagon I don't like. Nice selection of wagons in this segment! My oldman had a copper 68 Ford wagon with more fiberglass patches than metal. By the time he junked it... it was in really bad shape! Is your wagon somewhere on here? Can you do a complete segment on... car conversions to (mini) pickup? The last one I've seen at the autorama a few years back. Before the heavy hitter rich jerk took over the autorama. That's what car shows have become trailer queens that sit in temp control garages and never driven or licenced

I don't like flames, never have. Different colors cause mood changes. Red interior would make the drivers and passengers mad constantly driving that car around. I was so pleased to see a 1963 Chevy Biscayne or Belair station wagon but the flames and interior just ruined the whole car..I think ida went with dark gray interior or something suttle instead of flames and bloody red seats.
