@@johnp.shannonsr.8125 ...just saying, there are many other you tubers that make much better project videos, and higher quality, who have been around for years, yet they don't get millions of views for their videos. I'm thinking this channel is similar to the Mr Gear channel, and is using some sort of bot to boost the viewed number up. Even KZfaq's own A.I. algarithm wouldn't be pushing these videos so high. I mean c'mon, his last video from 5 days ago has almost 360,000 views, with only 200k subs? The numbers just don't add up. But hey, good for him, I hope he figured out a way to scam the system and make some money. It's good to see little guys getting some of the money too.

@@johnp.shannonsr.8125 UPDATE: I just mentioned how his video from 5 days ago already had 350,000 views....well that was about an hour ago. I just looked again and now it has over 560,000 views. That's not possible given how the KZfaq algarithm works, so yeah I'm pretty sure he's scamming them with some kind of a view bot. But again, good for him. In today's world you gotta make money any way you can.

I can't stand it anymore and try to only watch channels without ads. Don't know about everyone else, but I don't have the luxury to sit there for hours in front of the screen. I used to love KZfaq when there was no ads.i would pick something long to listen to while I worked. now you can't do that because an hour long video or two may pop up in the middle of the video and it's a horror if you are in a ladder or other situation where you can't go shut that garbage off. It's torture to be stuck listening to some real estate guru or health nut for an hour. I just simply avoid KZfaq now unless I have time to sit down and monitor the ads to shut them immediately. Also, it's nothing but about money now. You can't tell who is bringing good info from their heart anymore . in top of KZfaq ads, they have their own product they are selling in their videos. it's not even worth it anymore. starting to hate KZfaq.

For me it the selection algorithm I avoid clicking on some subjects, because if I do click my KZfaq homepage will be covered with that subject for a week or two choking out what I normally interested in.

Not really, with less than $60 of used tools it can be achieved. For the welder, find a friend or a friend of a friend or relative of a friend that could teach you or is willing to help. Guys that build like to build and like to help. If they don't, then they aren't worth a damn.

Speak for yourself. I guarantee all of his tools that he uses are made in China, since they are the largest exporter of goods in the entire world. And he is more of a Martha Stewart than a true fabricator, as he just welds shit to shit to make other shit, and I see no real fabrication skills involved.

It's the idea that counts and having been in the production business for well over 30 years, I've had to fire lots of "experts" that couldn't make a straight cut with an angle grinder after 2 years of "practice" as my employee... I guess you've never built anything from scrap yourself or your understand just HOW good this guy really is. So yes, the tools he uses are made in china, like most tools are...not his fault. But he can use 3 basic, cheap, Chinese tools where spoiled people like us whine about not having a cnc-machine... So what if he could buy the end product for much less at harbor freight.... It's the skill of knowing how to help yourself when the store is closed. Flame me, if you must, but give this man some credit. He deserves it. He still knows the lost art of improvising. So order yourself some chill pills on Amazon. Us older folks can appreciate this man's skills. Yes, I did buy a similar stove for a couple of hundred at northern tool...because I can. I used to work in the theatre industry for a dozen years creating pieces that you probably saw in a few shows if you ever went to Vegas from 98 to 2010. I also ran my own custom fabrication business specializing in high end wrought iron fencing, gates, and doors for over 6 years. Unlike you I never waisted my time hiring anyone, since like you said, nobody could work at even 1/4 of my level so it was not worth my time or money to hire an idiot who I would have to just end up babysitting. My comment about this Russian guy is mainly about the fact that he's using a program to get a false number of views, which is tricking the KZfaq algarithm to push his video further. I don't really care about that part because the governments of the world are making it very difficult to earn an honest living these days, so good for him on figuring out a way to scam the system. My main complaint is that his craftsmanship sucks. If you really have 30 years experience as a fab guy you would not hire him, as his grinder skills are very basic, and his welds look like bubble gum. It doesn't take much skill to come up with an idea to make crap out of junk lying around, there's already a million videos he can steal ideas from. I would just like to see one of these scammer guys making really nice projects to justify all the false view numbers, that's all. Come to think of it, I think I have a video on my page of a gate I did over 10 years ago you can check out to see for yourself my "never built anything from scrap" skills.

I apologize if I got a bit too personal here. that's not me, usually. I'd love to see your fabrication videos. I was in heavy machinery, so I needed lots of guys that knew how to improvise in the field under less than ideal conditions. and yes, I usually ended up cleaning up the mess they left behind... I'll definitely give you that. I never cared about how a tuber works the system. I was seriously referring to the way he picks a piece of literal junk and transforms it with basic tools and little time into something useful. maybe I'm disillusioned by decades of watching helpless idiots getting stumped by a problem that wasn't explained with pictures in a multi language repair manual. again, I hope you accept my sincere apology for blowing my lid here. it wasn't personal. I just like this guy's way of tackling a problem. would I hire him as a welder? I hear ya on the kids in the basement stuff, which is why when I comment on a video (against my better judgement) I make sure I know I can backup my comment beforehand. The younger ones today just spit out baseless garbage and then tuck and run when you engage. I fully get you on the building something from nothing mentality, especially in a pinch. It's sad to see that most people, men especially, these days are completely helpless in that department, but thankfully it'll make folks like us have a better life when it all comes crashing down...which I pray for every day LOL! I looked it up and I really only have 3 videos on my page from a full house job I did about 10 years ago. The videos mostly showed the automatic gate setup I had to customize. I hate seeing bars sticking above the walls so I made the entire guide rail system to be compact and super strong. It's still up and looks great to this day, along with all the other security bars and entry gates I've ever built. Anyway, take care, and maybe we'll see some genuine improvements in this guy's work, cause I'm going to keep an eye on him....mostly due to the fake view numbers, but that's a whole different thing.

That already exists. Its called a power station.

The only way that would be cost effective is if you could harness the heat of the sun with a parabolic mirror or a large fresnel lens. If you cover the dish of a small satellite antenna assembly with aluminum duct tape, remove the coils, and weld something onto the end of the arm that will support a pot or pan you can make a solar cooker. You just have to move it occasionally to keep it aimed at the sun.

A barrel has thinner walls so it won't hold heat as well. I made one from an old transformer that had fairly thick walls. The GE logo on it gets some comments.

You can buy a super cheap welder and all the tools he used at harbor freight, its not the best quality stuff but super cheap and great for beginners to practice with. I wasted $$$ on welding school when almost everything could be self taught or with weldingtipsandtricks KZfaq channel. Most of my class time was spent watching his videos (so glad i wasted the money) Once you feel confident just go pay for the welding test cert and that's it.

RIP. You're actually supposed to fill it with water and then cut it open. All he did was rinse it, still dangerous. I've read before a guy washed out a 55 gallon drum and thought it was safe, emptied it out and began to weld wheels to it and then 💥! Long story short dude died.

@@charliehustle2579 bullshit. I just blow out with air and I never had and flame. Volatile "liquid" fuel will stick to the barrel. Gas cannot stay liquid and stick to the container. Don't you know the smell will still be there long after the has is gone.

A cylinder with the valve taken out "Will not" blevy with such a small amount of gas. It is physically impossible
