Coolaroo Patio Shade Cover Installation

This is a look at the Coolaroo patio shade cover install on my backyard patio cover. This on here has 95 percent UV protection and has helped with the sun. I will be looking to extend my patio shade with longer patio shade covers. As far as Coolaroo I am happy with this brand.

Man, soon you'll be able to live outside! I really like those privacy walls. They are good and high. We have a limit on what walls are made of and how high they can be.

Couldnt find a bigger one to cover whole length, or special order size to cover whole length? My OCD would never allow this 😂

So happy I found a video with someone installing the blinds on an angled roof except I cannot do this on my roof because my roof extends further than my deck and then on top of that there are gutters running around my ceiling beam if I did decide to do it this way. Also my deck is not on the ground like yours. Any suggestions on how one would go about installing this on my particular angled ceiling. Im thinking the best way is probably to install straight into the ceiling vinyl but connecting to the studs. Idk I need help no KZfaq video seems to have any smart ways to go about this.

Jeff, get the high pressure mist pump if you dont have it already, it atomizes the water much better, you dont even feel the wetness at all, it really makes a difference.

I bought and am putting up a 120" Coolaroo on my patio east side in West Phoenix area as soon as I find someone to climb the ladder or be here in case i do a swan dive (old and scared) LOL. So far we have had no monsoons this year. Do you think the side holders and bungee would hold in a storm or better to be safe and rill it up?

Are all the minerals in the water coming out of the misters going to stain the shade? It looks like they're damp already.

How is it holding up? Im planning on mounting mine exactly like u on the outside of the porch but I’m afraid rain/weather will destroy it. Did water get inside the mechanical?

Is that alumawood that you drilled into? I was wondering if Coolaroo shades could be mounted right onto the thin aluminum sheet. Please advise!

@@anabelarias3343 I bought self tapping 1/2 inch screws for sheet metal. My shades are coming on Friday so I will install this weekend. I'll let you know if it works!

@@anabelarias3343 So this can definitely be installed on Alumawood. What I did was used self tapping screws (PARTS EXPRESS #8 x 1/2" Self-Tapping Truss Head Screws 100 Pcs from Amazon for $5). I also cut a soda can into 1/2 inch x 1/2 inch pieces and put 3 pieces on the Alumawood then screwed into the pieces. I found it helped the screw stay even more secure and tight. Good luck!

@@BMWoverAnything I was trying to get an idea of what someone might charge to install them, I had 4 to put up with no idea what they get for hanging them.
