The Griso has done 177000km, Bearings in the rear have never been looked at, apart from that of the CARC, we found some issues, which has been a little bit of a drama to rectify.
Definitely worth considering a look, and service yours, no matter the bike. Before it gets to the condition of mine.

Any one who starts a job on a guzzi with a pint of home brew has got my complete attention hehe , Knowing when a part is unserviceable ,is one thing ,but knowing when it's buggered, is the exact term, I believe used in the guzzi factory ,,,eledgedly 😛

Ha ha thanks. The Guzzi is fun to work on, until it isn't, or if things don't go quite to plan. I reckon there must be quite a few close to buggered parts installed on the bikes at the factory... maybe ?? Ahhahaha 😂🙃🍻😀😎

That home brew looks nice.....but is as nice as Dangerous's home brew?

Hi. Can you remove the drive shaft from the swing arm, whilst still on the bike?

You could, by sliding to the side the rubber boot. But you need to be able to give it a good solid whack for it to disconect. Your real problem, would be getting it back on with the swing arm in place. It is a pain to take the arm off and more so to put back on. But the job will be easier in ways. And you can then also check the swingarm bearings.

@Little Ghost thanks for the reply...what secures the drive shaft to the output shaft? It always helps to be prepared.

It's got like Fitted circlip, which with a good solid knock will release, It will slide and lock back in with a lot less force.
