This video should give you an impression what is necessary for a Guzzi CARC swingarm service (cleaning, greasing, checking the bearings, etc.).
This is also the right moment to mount a better shock, e.g. Öhlins TTX 36, • Öhlins TTX Technology and a Millepercento (MPC) fender/mud guard, www.millepercento.com.
In Germany you can get both at DÄS Mototec (www.daes-mototec.de).
NOTE: When routing the brake line, ensure that it is mounted above the spacers which hold the frame plate.
MUSIC: Beethoven arranged by Kevin MacLeod.

1. You need a special tool for the CARC swingarm castle nut
US: gtmotocycles.com/products/cnc...
Europe: Kevin Drake, email: turbosuzukis at yahoo.co.uk, www.ebay.co.uk/usr/turbosuzukis
... or the original one from Moto Guzzi (05902734).
2. A Griso has to be lifted with the method I have used (or similar, e.g. by tie down the front wheel and with a car jack under the oilpan). The original Moto Guzzi paddock stand or the one from Becker-Technik do not work here because you need free access to the footpeg support brackets (foot rest mounts).
3. Search the web for the Moto Guzzi workshop manuals (e.g. Griso1200_8V_072008_Atel .... .pdf) for instructions.
4. You can find really helpfull instructions here:
www.guzzi-forum.de (in German, you need a login) | Techniktempel - unser Schatzkästchen | Tipps und Tricks | Breva 850 / 1100 /1200: Aus- und Einbau der Schwingenlagerung
or here: www.guzzitech.com/forums/threa... or here:

The service on a Stelvio or Breva is very similar.
